To all those that have front lip installed
Does it scrap easily?
I love the look of a front lip, but uncertain about how easily it will be scraped.
Stock height, stock wheels.
Thanks!

If you are afraid of scraping, you should get a PWC/painted one instead of a carbon fiber lip. At least you can repaint it again if you have any scratches.

Scratching the lip is better than scratching your bumper no? If I didn't have the lip I probably would've scratched my bumper by now.

Scraping of the lip is inevidable, it will happen. But there are things that one can do to mitigated it. Lowered cars are at more risk, to getting scraped. But it's not that bad.

i have had the Euroteck front lip on my car , with H&R coilovers , for about 2 years and i have only scraped it 2 times . if you are worried about scraping at stock height , then don't buy it . it all depends how much you actually pay attention to the road or how crazy you drive . if you see a dip in the road , do you slow down or not ? if you get to a steep driveway , do you go up straight or at an angle ? i can't imagine ever scraping at stock height

Yeah, i'm pretty careful when I'm driving right now. Just want to see what others' experience in terms of adding a lip.

The main reason why I shy away from buying a front lip is becuase I know Im going to scrape the s**t out of it going up and down my driveway no matter how careful I am.

I have the ARKYM lip and haven't had to many scraping issues but chances are that you will if you're car is dropped. Note that I live and drive in NYC but the only real issues are going up and down steep gas station ramps.

I have a CF front lip & H&R drop, and it's not that bad... I only scraped twice within a year as far as I remember... and the scratches are not visible unless you raise the car & look underneath... not a big deal in my opinion for the good look you get with a front lip.

just noticed that my front lip is cracked on the drivers side... I remember scuffing it on a curb a couple of weeks ago and only saw a scratch but today I got down an looked at it and it was cracked! Just to say they are fragile but improve the looks a lot!

My aftermarket front lip only costs me $200. I am no so worry when I scrape it because I could just get another one after a year.

Is there a list of Aftermarket front lips?
I'm trying to decide between all of them and could use a little help.
So...
JBspeed
Arkym
Eurotech
Suvneer
Any others?
Secondly - do most install the FRP as is, or do they paint it first? I have a white C63, and if the FRP is black/dark grey, it would probably look pretty good.. ?

I have the JB in CF... and love the look, but this is all about personal preferences.

Just get what you think looks good to you. I personally did not want the Darth Vater or snow plow look and that's why I went with the Euroteck.

I have had my lip since 3 weeks and I scraped it at least 20 times...
I don't even wanna look at the underbody...
I think I'll need to get a new one in the spring haha
