New Issue ???
Interesting thing I learned is that there is an emergency release tab down in the console next to the shifter that will allow you to put the car in neutral when the ignition is locked out. Makes getting on the flat bed much easier even though the steering column was still locked.

My 2003 1500 HD quit on two different occasions while driving 120 Kph (75 mph) down the highway and I had to pull to the side of the highway. I was lucky not to get hit by another car and no power steering or brakes. Both times the fuel pump fuse blew and the dealer charged me $140.37 to change it. Not like the old days a fuse would cost $0.25 and the mechanic would likely put it in for free. Once the fuel pump fuse goes all ignition is disabled and the starter will not even turn over. Now I carry fuses and thank goodness it has not happened again.

BTW I really like pic in the sense that it makes your post so much more like a movie with scenes and action cuts...very nice touch. Visuals always make the scenario more relate-able and interesting...
