Jamie, You don't need to spec them up. I ordered mine from MB Bris in July. Last Friday I took the Black Demo for a spin. Great car.
You are going to love this car. The new gear box is so sweet.
Maybe 60 more sleeps for mine.
Happy days

Hi guys,
good to see some aussies here... sorry for going O/T here... I am planning to purchase a C63 (pre-owned) and would like to get some tips from you guys... looking at a 2009 C63 (no-LSD option) and would like to know what's a fair price to pay for a low mileage car (less than 30K km) in such year.... and any general issues/problems with any C63 in Australia... Thanx in advance guys!

I think you will be paying around 100k (private sale) plus on road costs for an 09 with low km, maybe 110k from dealer. They have definitely come down in price recently and will continue to do so with the new model.
No issues with mine but I wouldn't own one without a factory warranty

Hi Guys,
1st time poster here. Thanks for the pics ForestJim, looks v nice. Guys, I've got my quotes and ready to do the deal on the 2012 pp model. I got a good rate for the standard, but the PP is another 13K. Does that sound right?

Just an update guys, my dealer delayed mine by another week last Monday, saying that his computer now tells him it is 17th November... I believe it arrived in to Melbourne on the 7th.
Wanted to get your opinions on tint... to do or not to do...?
In anticipation of the tyre usage (chewing!!) I bought a spare set of OEM tyres online... from tirerack. SO much cheaper than Aus even after paying all delivery fees and tax, I think it worked out to be half.
Hopefully only 4 sleeps to go... and then get ready to go to Shell servo every third night!

Hey guys,
Ended up picking up my car this morning... Wow what an experience... They had her covered in red cloth and I saw it with my own eyes after they pulled it off, which was nice.
But the real 'OMG' moment came when she started up for the first time. Now I've seen quite a few C63's in my area, heard one starting up and heard them on the road. But hearing it start up for the first time in the showroom standing right next to the car... me and my friend who brought me there just STOOD THERE GAWKING at each other, then slowly said Holy.... shhhh....
Paperwork done, got the dealer to drive it out the showroom. Drove around. It's a MONSTER. I have no better word for it. IT LOOKS SO ANGRY, like it just wants to eat you and then spit your bones out. I'm trying to stick by the break-in period thing where you can't got past 4k RPM for 1500 kms but I've broken that limit... several times now...
One peeve. My neck HURTS. After about an hour or so driving, I got home, sat down to continue my study (exams in four days) and it just felt like I pulled it. I just came home from another drive. You know those things that jut out the side of the seats? They are TIGHT. It felt like my chest was being crushed by them, even when they were extended to their max! Anyone have a solution to this? No, I'm not fat, but it felt like every time I sunk in the car, my ribs were being condensed or something. And my neck hurt.
And I went through a quarter tank of fuel already. Fun times ahead! I'll post pics once I find my blackberry transfer cable...

I'll be suprised if you get 8,000km out of rear tyres. You will go through 3 sets of rears to one front. I have never owned a car that eats rear tyres like a C63

Had a call from the dealer today. My car has been built and due to arrive in Australia 24 Dec. Could be 2 to 3 weeks in customs that time of year.
So that's would make it mid to late Jan.
I would like to have the car before Xmas. I'm going away on holidays xmas time so I don't mind waiting.
PS - if anyone is interested in my mint c280 please PM or check it out on Carsales.com.au
Cheers
Marty
