^not sure if those Japanese lugs are any different then these
yea there's more teeth on those jap lugs but its the same concept. And honestly, If you use bolt extractor that is thin enough to fit between those teeth and the out circular shell, that lug will come right off. Something like this
And the guys stealing wheels with these locks obviously know this. They will grind down the outer portion of the bolt extractor so its thin enough to fit in these types of lugs

Another option is different types of McGard bolts for each of the 5 wheel bolts on all 4 wheels, if OEM wheels
Or 3 out of 5 per wheel. For better balance around the hub.
