Winter Tire Help - 255/40/18 In Rear OK?
So I've been searching for winter tires, and it seems that 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 are not a problem
but for the rear I can only seem to find 255/40/18 or 265/35/18.
I thought it would be best to go smaller width in winter like maybe 245/40/18 is anyone running 235/40/18 all around?
And is 255/40/18 too big of a tear for the rear?
Please help if you got experience or any thoughts on this.

If your in a region of the country that gets alot of snow, then you want a tire that is narrow not wider. A wider tire will just compress the snow, as it rolls over it, instead of biting into it. Just give the boys at tirerack a call, that will give you the real scoop about winter tires.

I have 235/40 all around on stock wheels. I'm buying some 255/35's this year because I really don't like the way the 235's look on the 9" factory rear wheels.
