Last saturday night....
1. The condescending look I got from the inpector as I was in the tech line at the local 1/4 mile strip.
2. The "did you bring your wife's car?" comment that I got from a GT500 driver while waiting in line to run.
3. The " you only need to wear a helmet if your car runs faster than 13.99" from the driver of an older Pontiac GP as we were #2 in line to run agains each other.
4. Running a 12.5 at 115 on my first pass in the car on a poorly prepped track, 2.0065 60' time, a horrible reaction time, with a full tank of gas, no weight removal, on the stock conti's at full pressure - against the GP's 15.62@ 92...with the driver wearing a helmet.
5. Stifling a SEG (****e-eating grin) when I pulled around to line up again, and noticed I would be lined up against the GP again...this time the driver had a 1000 yard stare straight ahead with his hands at 10 and 2....then the GT500 driver (two cars behind) walked up to my open window and said, "12.5, dude? I hope that's not your wife's car!"...laughed and walked back to his ride.
PS - In no way, shape, or form am I bragging about my ET......
