Think I blew up my radio

This just happened an hour ago. Driving down the road listening to the radio at normal volume. All of a sudden I hear a pop, pop, pop coming from different speakers. Then crackle, hiss, crackle, pop, pop etc... Then it starts to smell like something is burning. I immediately pull over and shut off the radio. The pop, crackle and hiss sound is still coming through the speakers. I then hurry home and try to turn on the radio one last time. The screen flips up, radio is on and no sound. Looks like this is getting dropped off tomorrow at the dealer. Anybody else had this problem or some sort?

More than likely it's the amplifier, have them check all the speakers after they fix the problem. If you had continual loud hissing or pops, you could have blown a speaker.

I listen to industrial and other types of heavy base and noise type music.. so far.. so good on the speakers which I was worried about from day 1 of ownership.

LOLLLLL

OP, never had this problem happen to me in the C63 but has happened to me in my previous car. Actually saw some smoke coming from the back of the car. Had 2 blown speakers, but they were after market.

The dealer should take care of everything.
