2012 Lights Install Voids Warranty on 2008 C63? Seriously?
So apparently installing the MY12 rear lights on a 2008 C63 AMG seems to be not possible via Mercedes dealers as of yet in the Los Angeles area. According to them it will void the warranty on my vehicle due to re-wiring? I didn't think the car would need to be rewired just to retrofit new tail lights on the car. Am I missing something or is that the case when installing these lights on an older model?
Thanks!
Thanks!

That's what I thought but is re-wiring necessary. I just thought it was a plug and play, plus some coding, is it not?
If any of you SoCal members have any suggestions on who could install these professionally, please let me know as well. Thanks!

^ They don't seem to want to install them. I don't think they know how to tbh and just make up excuses in order to avoid installing.

Anything modified can void the warranty for that specific part or system it's connected to if it causes an issue. The dealership will not know how to retrofit items because MBUSA does not supply the info or differences in the parts from year to year. If you see how much trial and error that I spent trying to figure out how to do it on the S-Class it took our technician 3 days to figure it out that he didn't get paid for all that time he spent. Once it was finally done it was far from a simple plug and play, but if you have the money I am sure they will try if you pay them to just attempt it, but I wouldn't expect them to do more than just trying to swap them out which could very well not work. I would suggest finding a buddy that has a 2012 and try swapping them yourself since you cannot return electrical items at a dealer if it turns out that it will not work.

^ Did check the other post but as you said there is a fog light issue. There is a shop that I found that has their own STAR tech in house, so let's see what happens.
