Just bought new Conti all-seasons
Thoughts on the tire after a wet, stormy week here:
While the standing start traction isn't spectacular it is very good. What does border on spectacular is the cornering grab and braking in the wet. Very very very good. As for the dry - I can't say ( like I said its been a crappy week) but if this is the starting point than I am very optomistic.
Rolling road noise is minimal but that doesn't mean this tire is dead quiet. Having only driven on the P-zeros in the warm weather prior to this, i was somewhat taken aback by the noise created by driving this type of tire over the various cracks and bumps in the road. Not inordinate, just different and more.
Obviously it's too early to comment on tread life but it is 540 rated and, let's face it, nothing lasts on here anyways. If it does, hand in your keys cos you aren't are a car person you're a puss.
So I think these are going to see me through the winter til I get a tune and put my Sport Springs and some new pads in and we hit Silly Season. If you're looking for an all-season I think these would be an excellent choice. You may also consider the Conti DW which is actually classed as a summer tire but is good in the wet that my buddy with an E55 wagon thought it was an a/s and he drives that beast hard. Awesome car BTW - hauling gear and hauling ***. Speaking of *** he has the dynamic seats. Man, I wish we could get those. Anyways, I hope this helps someone. If you have any questions pls feel free to fire away.

Many reproductions out there. There typically sold as Euro 63RS or Euro 63 or even CL63 RS wheels. You can also buy them at www.formymercedes.com or http://www.formymercedes.com/mb_resu...Wheels+Gallery

When I was looking at buying these tires, I placed my order thru TireRack online. They immediately called me back, to tell me exactly what you stated, that the front tires aren't XL rated. In fact, they stated that C63 front end is too heavy for these tires. So I order Yokohama's instead, but I really wanted the DWS. As I have them on my E63. the 235 and 245 aren't rated for the C63 in 18" Although I have them on the E63 245/35-19. I just think that Continental doesn't have them rated in 18", I wish they would, so I can buy a set for the C63. I like the fact that their all-season, have great grip and have a high tread wear rating. Although they don't have the tremendous grip the Pirelli PZero's had. But I'm not buying new tires every six months
