Got all my carbon fiber installed!

Hey guys,

Just thought I would share some of the carbon fiber parts that I have installed on my car. All the pieces finally arrived and I was able to get everything installed Here is a list of what I got installed:

- JB speed front lip
- JB speed rear trunk spoiler
- Side mirror carbon fiber slip ons (from ebay)
-Side lower front bumper vents (from ebay)
- MCD motorsport rear diffuser (corrected spelling!)

The pictures were to large for me to attach or load here so heres a link where you can see the pictures, sorry for that inconveniece:

https://picasaweb.google.com/1067792...414405/CFParts

Hope you guys enjoy and let me know what you think!

The lip, diffuser and spoiler look great but those mirror covers look really bad.

Whats up with the sharp end at the top (on the door side)?

I'm installing it on Wednesday. I was supposed to do it today but couldn't find the time.
I'm still having second thoughts cuz I drive my car daily in the winter... I don't want my car to be a snow plow...

BTW I think his front lip is fine - it's just a shadow that looks like a gap

Thanks everyone!

-Bo - Thanks! I dont remember who the ebay seller was unfortunately. I basically just searched for carbon fiber c63 mirror coverings and there was only one seller at the time. If you find some you want to buy, just PM me the link and ill let you know if it was the same seller as mine

-Maverick - the mirrors fit perfectly flush. I know the newer cars have different side mirrors but for my 2010, they fit absolutely perfect, definitely recommend them!

_AMG_ - Thanks!

Roswell - the fitment for the lip was flush as well, theres no gap like olszowa12 said, i just took the picture in the evening when the lighting wasnt as good so its just the shadow, sorry about that but the lip fits great and is my fav cf part on the car, adds a lot of appeal to it

olszowa12- As far as mirror coverings go, that sharp end by the door, it is part of the fitment for the covering. I have a 2010 model so it fits perfectly flush right over the entire mirror. That little sharp edge is where the black plastic part starts on my mirror so I guess the cf covering was made to go over it. It doesnt look as good as actual mirros themselves but Sonic MS over here did a great job of mounting them on perfectly.

AkaSigFreak - The fitment of the trunk spoiler was flawless as well, the only downside is it requires a good amount of labor to install but other than that, its great!

@KINGPIN,

Great looking mods. I like the carbon fiber look, myself.

How did you go about removing the rear spoiler?

Thanks, and yea i love the agressive look and appeal the cf gives to the car
As far as removing the spoiler, I had a shop called Sonic MS do it, they removed it for me. I am not sure how they removed it but they told me its one hell of a b**** job to remove and it was the part that cost me the most labor to get installed. (all 7 parts cost me $400 for install with the spoiler alone costing 100$ to install)

By the way, do you think i can/should sell my OEM stock diffuser and trunk spoiler as I dont have a need for them anymore, would anyone even buy them?

I figured the spoiler would be hard to remove without damaging it. It seems like it's really on there from the factory.

Personally, I like keeping stock parts, just in case. But, if you don't have a need for them and you dont' think the need will ever arise, then yes, you can sell the parts. Wouldn't hurt to just list them for sale and if you don't get any interest right now, you can periodically bump the thread. You never know, someone may need your stock parts one day and that would be great for you.

I think the C300/350's may have use for the spoiler. Not sure how the diffuser fits though.

Yea, they said it was quite difficult to remove but they did it without any damage or scratches. And thanks for the advice, I guess I will sell the stock pieces because I am not selling my car anytime soon.

My body shop also told me it was hard to remove the stock trunk spoiler... I didnt want to do it myself, I was too scare of breaking it. The diffuser was an easy DIY though.

Matt, dont worry about clearance with this front lip... it's not much lower than stock. I'm on H&R springs, and I only scrape once going to fast into the gas station (my fault).
