New C63 Owner in Toronto (Spring Question)
Hello,
Proud new owner of a 2012 C63 Sedan in Toronto, came from an E90 M3 - love the C63
Sorry no pics yet, in the process of moving and my camera is packed away.
Looking to get a slight drop with aftermarket springs, any suggestions - H&R or any other brand? Any issues running with the stock struts? and finally any suggestions on someone to install in the GTA that actually knows these cars?

As for ur spring question, H&R drop is very subtle.. I love mine cuz they ride almost like stock. If u want to go lower, u should buy coilovers if they are available for the new 2012 model.

I will probably go with H&R springs as I don't want to be crazy low, just a slight drop and even out the rear and front by using a taller spring spacer I guess it's called, same thing you did I believe with the #4 in the rear. Are you running the H&R sport springs on your ride?

Good idea on the taller spring pads, I don't regret doing this as the drop looks so much more even.. Plus the pads were surprisingly cheap at the stealer (20$ for the pair).
I'm not sure if mine are the sport springs as it does not say on the box.. But here is the part # 29028-1.
I got a great deal on the spring.. But the install was not cheap cuz I got my friend who
works at a Dodge/Chrysler dealership to do the install since our cars suspension is similar to the 300M. I don't regret paying a bit more though cuz the install went flawless, no squeak sounds & no pulling left or right even w/o alignment.

29028-1 is the only spring H&R makes for the C63 aside from the coil overs and they do call it a Sport Spring. I really like mine and think you will be happy with them.

They say they are for the C63 Sedan 2008 - up and for the C63 Coupe 2012 - up. LOL
I think Carlsson also has springs for our cars but 30mm drop vs 20mm drop for the H&R. I don't think I have ever heard anything about the Carlsson springs.

Im definitely in when this happens! I went to a couple of the cars and gelato meets friday's from 11pm on, as well as a rennlist meet one saturday once I got the new car. Everyone had great things to say about the car and were very impressed! I say we plan something next spring!
