Just want to know how many folks here drive their cars year 'round and how many people keep their cars as Garage queens.
Me? A set of winter tires and let's go! This car is meant to be driven!

Daily driver here. I have also done a 1700 mile round trip twice and a couple of 900 round trip and 700 round trips as well. It is a great comfy car for either city or hwy.

Year round... it is a very nice car but let's not kid ourselves... it isn't a Ferrari and it will do just fine with a decent set of winter tires. It would be a shame to have this car sit in the garage all winter when it could be driven.

Again, gthal is bang on. I would just rather spend my money on other things. I might get a beater truck soon tho, and if its cool enough to almost be a parody of itself I'll drive that a bit in the winter.

I'm surprised to be in the minority for storing my car in the winter... i learn new things everyday... excellent poll!
Well, for my situation, I have a minivan to use all year round to go to work... my workplace (Chinatown) would not be a good place to park such an expensive car w/o someone hit it... lol ! Let alone the fact it's snowing & slippery.

I don't know where you guys live that you are considering driving year round.. In Edmonton, AB, Canada we get -30C, salt and rocks all over the roads and snow falls over 10-12inches in a night on occasion.
Not to mention half the city doesn't know how to drive in these conditions.
I got myself a truck for the winter. I save the car for when the roads are clear and the temp isn't -30. Winter here is just too hard on vehicles.

^^ ditto... very well said Merc63.
Climate changes from area ppl live. For example, Toronto doesn't get as much snow as Ottawa & we're only 500 km north. Our winters are harsh on cars in my city... but it's doable in any kind of cars with the right winter tires.
