I can't wait either. I've been on the side lines too long waiting for these projects to get completed. Time for some more 1/4 mile racing. Gotta give Mike something to think about.
He keeps setting the bar lower and lower and lower and lower and lower.................
However, great job Mike. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Looks fantastic. Honestly that has to be one of the coolest looking aftermarket custom hoods I have ever seen.
Can't wait to see it done. Those pics of it on made me smirk. Very cool.

We studied it, did mock ups, and even thought about striping it. For now the basic hood will be painted the color of the car and the scoop will remain carbon fiber. It I don't like something or want to change it we will later. We were concerned about introducing too many colors or designs to the outside. It already has the carbon fiber roof and trunk so we felt the scoop would be fine remaining carbon on my car. Some cars or colors may not take to the carbon scoop so we could paint it.
What do you think? I hope to have pictures of it painted later today or tomorrow to compare. The scoop attaches after the hood is completed.
The wait is killing me.

I need to make sure its functions as planned before we do anything else. It can be adapted to the Weistec set up as well. Already talked to Steve and he likes it. He said it would help their air filter size challenges. Its a bit dramatic but I like it.
Pics from today. Will be ready next week!!

Here's the million dollar question. Which scoop will look better on the hood? The car color or carbon fiber??? They are both carbon fiber, we just painted one.

Once again, huge thank you to Dave at Sanford Paint and Body for all his time and effort put into this car and specifically this hood project!!!!

Dammmmn!!!
Guess the color all depends on how "***** in your face" you want to be lol, I suspect for most the color of your bumper will be remembered first!

I tens to think with your carbon fibre bootlid that leaving the scoop in bare CF
is the way to go. No harm in having it stand out a bit and it would continue the flow of CF from the bootlid to the
roof to the bonnet.
Awesome!

I vote CF Keith.
As long as your trunk is still raw CF.

You have a CF diffuser, trunk and roof. Absolutely leave it CF!

Leave it CF.
You can always paint it later if you get tired of it or if you think you prefer it body color.

I like the cf but it needs to be tied in some way so it does not look like it was just slapped on there and looks random. Hope that makes sence
Almost there:

The gaps will disappear because he'll tighten down the bolts and it will be glued down. The scoops are just sitting on the hood. The carbon fiber will look right on my car with the C/F roof, C/F trunk, C/F mirror covers etc...
If it was a show car I would leave it the same color. Same color looks extremely OEM if you ask me.
