C63 AMG
Hell if I listened to the forums Id never have got a GTR because afterall "its still a Nissan"
+1 You're right it still is just a Nissan Something you won't find in my garage. Sorry if you feelings got hurt that someone doesn't like the car you chose. Wow kinda like that some are still stuck on that non-abrasive comment I made a while back You must really like your car.

Its all about opinions... you got yours- I got mine. And Im sure you are not the only one who said "its still a nissan" because I dont remember seeing your comments. My statement was actually based off another forum's thoughts. But if you need to take credit please do. I like my stable including the Nissan.

2012 C63 coupe
This is as I would have expected. Two similar cars with different personalities. The issue for MB will be when the next M3 is released and there isnt a torque deficit any longer and power is similar. If MB can't strip the weight off the next gen platform, then the M3 will have a real advantage. If the two cars had similar power/torque but the M3 weighed 400lbs less then it wouldn't be a close fight any longer. I have faith, though, the MB will ensure the next C63 is competitive somehow.

+1 on opinions. I did actually give the car props in some areas. Funny how some others didn't see that. Honestly I just don't like the looks but hey I don't care for the new C63 coupe either in the looks dept. Like you said it's all opinions. Love the 911 turbo you got. Very nice! Going back to Porsche here soon.

I guess, all that really matters, is whether or not one enjoys their car regardless is it's an MB, BMW, or "still a Nissan." As I mentioned before, I think they are both great cars, I do find the "objective" parts a bit arbitrary though, the "rebate" point (really???). Apparently the car they drove only had the competition package, not NAV and quite a few other items, which is just BS. Gotta wonder who buys more ad space, MB or BMW?

It seems to me that most cars have become clones of each other any more. Hyundai looked very similar to a Jag some years back, and many others have copied each other in some ways stylistically. Remember everyone hated the Bangle Butt, not long after the hard edged/softedged look pioneered by Bangle for the 7 series became de rigeur.

I'm just sayin...

honda accord.......well maybe a little bit. i love the looks of the car. ive actually gotten more compliments on this car than any car ive ever owned. shoot, i was valeting at eddie v's a couple nights ago and i got the honor of being parked with the ferraris and lambos cause they thought it was one of the coolest cars they'd ever seen. makes it all worth it.

anyway, i find it hard to swallow that a car that murders all of the acceleration categories looses. oh well.

It was C/D and the cars were separated by a point, I'd call that a victory. You can subtract 5 points by default off any BMW's score in C/D. IMO the M3 is a better looking car, but the C63's motor is absolute ****.

Does anyone know if the db measurements at full throttle are for the inside or outside of the car?

Also, I'm surprised the M3 was 1 db louder than the C63.

C&D is a poor written magazine. All the new young writers really don't know anything about cars and it's really beginning to show. It's all about $$$$$$ and BMW pays into advertisements with their magazine much more than Mercedes does. Come on people, 4 points because of price as tested and a point because of rebate; this is honestly silly! I'm pretty bummed on such a lame review.

and for everyone out there... yes it's still a Nissan.

It's a Nissan that will destroy almost ever car today . How anyone can not think the GTR is a marvel is not a car guy. After 3 years of ownership ,the fit and finish of the car was perfect. Don't get me started. Next I hear our President is doing a great job.

poorly. and I'm not saying they aren't quick blah blah blah. You just honestly can't compare the two. Yes the Nissan GTR is one of the quickest machines on this planet, but I want much more than that from a car. You don't need to say much more after you say Mercedes. They are the safest, most reliable cars ever built and that's that. If they really wanted to build something to top those other super cars out there they would. They have broken countless automotive records, and are the king of motor sport.

"In the M3, the driver needs to work harder, downshift frequently, and spin the BMW V-8 to find its power and voice. The C63 driver just needs to make sure his engine is running."

You're a douche...

...and if you're going to make the analogy of comparing the performance of a GT-R to an STi then that shows your complete lack of knowledge and understanding of how vastly impressive a GT-R is....

This is what a GT-R does to hopped up STi's and EVO's

You sound like the tards that say a C63 is just a hopped up C Class

Whatever tough guy. Just stating my opinion. Sorry you don't like it. A GT-R is something I wouldn't buy. Why do you and others get your panties in knot when you don't agree with someone else opinion? There are cases to be made for every side. When it's one you don't like you make a point to cry as loud as you can. Real tough guy huh? Bet you look like that guy in your profile pic?
