c63 first car?!
Don't do it. Or since it's a amazing deal, get it and let your dad drive it for a few years.
Experience and maturity account for so much...only now do I think I am mature enough to be driving a car like the C55. And the C55 is sloooow compared to the C63!

Im 21 and just got the C63. (previous was a pontiac vibe) I learned so much in my first 5 years of driving (still am) and was fortunate to learn some lessons in my parents performance oriented cars before having my own. (Speeding, drifting through intersections, road rage, etc.)You would be able to handle it and get used to it no problem, the only thing is I don't know if you would have the responsibility to keep the car with in the limits of the road... I know I wouldn't have been able too. You will see what we mean 5 years from now, its hard to explain.
I had a Subaru WRX as first car and Audi A6 2.7T as second (in NJ). Both very fast for a young kid, but with the added safety of all wheel drive. I think it is a MUST if you live where it snows.
All young kids wanna look cool .. the kids in ****boxes have to drive like maniacs to look cool, whereas you can cruise around normal speeds in a sick car and still turn heads. Like others said though, it is all about your mind set. I am 30 now and if a riced up civic should happen upon me at a light, i drop the hammer on him like i would on a drop top maserati filled with chicks. I never felt that way in my Sub, Audi, or anthing else i had in between. Its just something AMG does to you.

i was going to mention...no matter how mature OP will act in his C63, the time will come when theres some ricer civic that revs at him and he will have to floor it

that being said - enjoy the car!

If you get into a single accident, or get a single speeding ticket, your insurance will skyrocket. Even if you're not paying for it, I think I would feel sorry for your parents who will have to. If you were my kid, I would stick you with maybe a used 2006 W203 or something at most.
As someone who was in a similar boat as you, I feel like people should develop respect for these cars over time. If you jump the gun early and get into a luxury car right off the bat as your first, you will become "spoiled" if you will, and your expectations of other cars will be that much higher, to which you may be surely disappointed.
Stick with something age appropriate man. Take a look around your high school. You'll more than likely see some old Hondas, Toyotas, and maybe one other lucky kid at your school has an M3 or something. But at my school, and most other schools, that was the kid who had his car keyed all the time by other jealous students. Don't risk it. Just stick with something along the lines of a new Honda Accord coupe or something. Also, the VW Passat just got car of the year. Maybe you can get that! :P
I just turned 17 and I drive a SL55. Its got 493 hp and is unbelievably fast. Its really hard to keep it under the speed limit. The more I drive it the more comfortable I feel in it. As a few of you have said, there are people that try to egg you on to street race. Sometimes I'll do it but others I'll let go, just depends on the mood I'm in. Insurance coast are pretty steep, gas costs at $3.50 a gallon are unbelievable. Its like $60-$65 every time I fill up, and thats about every 8-10 days as I drive it to and from school and on the weekends. If you have the money to buy the C63 and are able to keep it running then do it. You would really regret it if you don't. I know I was skeptical about driving my car the first time, i was contemplating on getting a different one, but the more I think about it I love this car! Just remember to take it slow in the beginning and then build up your talent to take your driving to the next level.
