As with many threads, it degenerates into a penile size comparison.
What in the world does this post have to do with the question posed by the OP?
Did anyone ask about a "crossfire"?

I wish you would have run me last week, would have been a close race but I think I would have edged you out. Also, my car wasn't running right and I had the tune tweaked a little bit.

Last night I cut three 11.0s and finally let the car cool down and ran my personal best -- by far -- 10.75 @ 127.85.

Your car is awesome, but there are a lot of fast V's out there, and it doesn't take much to get them into the low 11s/10s.

Nice run and video!

I love the Thunder Gray.... that was my first choice instead of Raven Black. At the time I couldn't find one with black interior, Recaro seats and Alcantara trim. But I guess I would have gotten the GT-R in Black if I had went with the Thunder Gray on the CTS-V.

wow what a great run,,, you would win hands down. so if we do get to run each other ,,,i get a head start right. I was not saying my modded crossfire is faster than a modded CTSV, $$$ can make anyone fast. BTW I ran a ctsv a month or so back i spun bad and ran in the low 12.s where the CTSV ran in the low 11's,, question from another member ,,why would i compare a crossfire to a ctsv,,, because i like a car i can run at least low 11's and my wife can drive it shopping ,, both cars can do that, my cost to do that was 1/2 of the CTSV. see you at the track,, happy new year. jim ps that 60' is fantastic,,, if i ever get near that time , I;ll buy the beer.

Damn near anything can be made to run 10s to 11s and still be easy enough for a grandmother to drive o Clothworld in. All it takes is time and money, just more of each depending on what you are starting with.

glad you like your choice. but the benzes take a bath on depreciation..as far as built to last..yes the motor is a beast and then some...but as far as the electronic nannies and gadgets...not so sure about...i'd be uneasy owning an AMG out of warrantee.

had (and still do) an opportunity to purchase a 2009 e63. 90k for $23k fully loaded minus lsd and suede steering wheel. just got completely serviced under warrantee. still has 90k nonetheless. ultimately..i looked at it as a potential money pit.

My friends captain buys AMGs like that. He keeps them until a major problem happens or he gets tired of the car. He routinely puts well into the 100k miles on them and honesty don't recall him ever having some massively expensive repair bill. When he goes to sell them he tends to not be a ton less than what he paid initially because the car already ate massive depreciation prior to him. He usually gets S classes for this which I'd think would be the worst for large repairs. Definitely is a gamble but heck buying a brand new E63 you probably loose around $20k just driving off the lot.

Had a 2012 P31 C63

Have a 2012 CTSV

Looking to get back into a 2013 P31 C63....my C63 was faster than my CTSV (automatic)...C63 did 9.72s 60-130 while the CTSV could on muster a 9.88s 60-130...Cadi is much bigger and more comfortable with a great ride but the Merc has MUCH better fit and finish and is more "classy".

2012 CTS-V
^
Put a pulley on that thing and it's game over. I had a 2010 C63 and it was a great car, I had so much fun with it but after only 7 months with the Caddy I feel it's a better overall car.

I just spent 4K in parts and labor to run 10.87 @ 127. MBH headers alone for my C63 were over 4K.

Peter, your grass looks alot like mine lol. I think we spend too much time behind the wheel...just not the one attached to the fertilizer/mower.

I have to disagree on the fit & finish comment tho. Other than the front seats (which were admittedly gorgeous), I was NOT impressed with the interior of my C63. Felt very "C class" to me.

Personally, I think my CTS-V interior both looks and "feels" more befitting of a $60K sedan. And my passengers are definitely more comfortable.

Mercedes’ C6.3 AMG
C6.3 fan here for ever.

Love my beast from the east and I eat cts v’s for lunch ever time they pull up thinking that they are going to whip my a$$. Then they hear those long tub header and Exhaust kick in then look at me like dammmmm. My baby is also powered by Renntech ECU 2 and have the C74 carbon fiber body kit, my baby is a blast.
