Just being curious, do you need to replace the brake pads for those carbon ceramic rotors?

Well they are a lot thinner then stock and weigh less. Maybe this is what you give up for the weight savings... Less durability.. But who knows, he could have been stressing them big time.. Hard to say... All I know is i got 50000km on my stock rotors, I just threw new pads on and they are working great ![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

I have Evosport rotors. I'm just not using them right now. Kinda scared of this happening to my set.
I got about 30,000 miles out of a set of stock rotors.

2013 Chevy 427 Torch Red
Even a small amount of track time will put cracks on drilled rotors whether they are the stock 1 pc, 2 pc or the evosport drilled. The small cracks all start at the holes and branch outward. The Racing Brake slotted rotors I have now show zero visible wear after 3 very hard track days paired with Hawk DTC-70 pads.
Carbon Ceramics are the next level, designed to take lots of track abuse without fading and I imagine would last a VERY long time for street only driving.

You could have got way more out of your stock rotors, unless you're tracking the car?
Did you measure them with a caliper? They are good for 3mm of wear (front).

So both your stock and evosport rotors looked like those pics after some heavy track days?
Are you saying the RB slotted are superior so far?

UPDATE
Ok guys here is some new photos , and did test them what a huge deferent car response allot better than before brake better no fading test them under allot of heat and did few test from 100KM to 0 several time no fading after several test from 100KM i tested them from 160KM not single problem
!
bottom Line this is the best brakes i ever used better than Evo rotors better than OEM .
Talk to Andy i think he is doing group buy for them !

Sexy brakes, too bad they are so expensive because other guys would buy them for sure. Just the weight savings and the track advantages alone are huge considering the price of stock rotors and pads!

SMALL cracks from the holes in drilled rotors are normal. The W203 service manual has specs for what is acceptable, but I am too lazy to look it up. The one big crack in Ala's rotor would worry me, though.
I saw a M5 at Roebling completely wipe out at the end of the straight (somehow it didn't roll). Damage actually wasn't too bad - new bumper cover, new wheel, new tires, new caliper, and perhaps some bent suspension pieces. All caused by an drilled after-market rotor that broke.
I have some slotted only rotors from EVOsport (not installed yet). The rotors are lighter than OEM because they have much less material. Less material in the rotor means that drilled rotors will be more prone to cracking. I think I am comfortable with the OEM drilled rotors, but not the EVOSport drilled rotors - at least for track-driven cars - drilling AND less material in the rotor makes me nervous.
I am interested in how long the carbon brakes will last. Some early Porsche applications had very poor wear on track, which was the opposite of what was expected. I think a change in the pad compound eliminated this. The price might be justified (if we also consider the performance improvements) if the carbon pads and rotors last significantly longer.
