I've been driving for almost 50 yrs...always loved my V8s....anything with GRUNT.
Had a few cars with GRUNT....the last being an 6L LS2 powered HSV GTO Coupe...similar to your "new generation" GTO.
So, I know the C63's got plenty of grunt, but I don't feel comfortable in it yet...so much to learn...even to get the best out of the sound system....love my Beach Boys, Doobies, Eagles, America, Hall & Oates etc etc.....so, any of you "old boys" have difficulty coming to terms with all this "electronic" stuff?.....By the way, I'm 67, not too proud to admit I still like to put the "pedal to the metal" & realize that, "there is no substitute for cubic inches", or alternatively that "there is no replacement for displacement".
But "electronics", & "Control Systems"???...Not too keen on all of that.
Cheers, Pickles.

Geez you guys....he's 67, not 97. His grandkids may be old enough to drive, but probably just. And even if you three are really young and don't quite get the age thing, at 67 its not like he's using his able walker to get out to the car. Nowadays 67 is the new 55.
Anyways Pickles, all the electronics in our cars are fairly simple, although not exactly intuitive. I'll PM you my email and my cel #. If you have any questions you can email me direct or if you have an iPhone you can text me. Once we get the electronics sorted, we can work on getting you some better music

I'm 40 and I'm very into electronic gadgetry but I must admit Pickles, MB electronics are not intuitive but ones you get it, you good to go. My suggestion is just play around with it as much as possible. First thing to do is record all your favorite CD's in the hard drive so you will always have them in hand even while you tinker with the other stuff.

Most of my working life involved electronics and as a general rule I find them easy to understand.
But times change and I will admit now days I read the owner’s manual and that’s about as close as I come to learning any of the gadgetry in these new cars.
I put all my music on a 32Gb USB stick (a couple of thousand songs), learnt how the phone, navigation and air conditioning worked and a little bit of the linguistics and as far as the rest goes, I stop and think about it if I ever need it. For example, I’ve had the car for 2 years and a few weeks back it started to rain so I needed to pull over to figure out how the windscreen wipers worked. I’m 51 and I love new technology but I still buy cars for fun and performance not prestige and gadgets.
Pickles just learn what you need then if you wish to know more, slowly take it from there.
