Whining noise during accleration 0-10mph
Hey all,
I have been noticing a slight whining noise while sitting in traffic when I lightly accelerate from 0-10mph, after that it seems to stop or i can't hear it anymore because it just gets droned out by the exhaust.
Has anyone else encountered this? The car is new so I plan to take it to the dealer, but wanted to get a heads up if anyone can pin point the problem. I know my Cayenne does this, but it comes from the brakes. I have been treating the car well, and trying to break it in as best as I can. It currently has about 750 miles only.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I used to have a gear whine, it used to annoy the hell out of me. It was the same thing almost, but not when i was idle, it was when i'd hit the higher rpm's in 1st or 2nd gear.. During my 40k service (where they do tranny flush, etc) it went away. I think in the end I was low on transmission fluid.

or it could be a pressure valve issue as it was in my case. Unfortunately, "whining" doesn't tell us exactly what's wrong unless you specify the type of whine and where it's coming from. If it's really bothering you, chances are it's not supposed to be there and you should get it checked out to be safe.

I have the same sound. Im pretty sure it is common. I hear it when I just start the car and when Im slow driving 10-15mph. Im pretty sure it is the sound the car is supposed to make. But if not, please let me know haha.
