2012 C63 AMG Sedan MBTEX And Power Seats Question
I have placed on order a 2012 C63 AMG Sedan with MBTEX/ Dinamica interior. I was wondering if I still get the driver side AND front passenger seats fully ELECTRONICALLY adjustable with 3 person MEMORY? I do not want to get the leather package if I do get these with the MBTEX/ Dinamica interior as well because I like the look and feel of MBTEX/ Dinamica. If anyone has this combination on their 2012 C63, can you please confirm whether the front driver and passenger seats are fully adjustable electronically and whether they also have the memory option on both sides or just the driver side or neither?
I have looked all over the internet and asked the dealer to look into this as well, but NOBODY out there has an answer as of yet! I figured I would stop beating my head over this and just ask the knowledgable folks on this forum!

I believe you get memory and full power for both coupe and sedan drivers side. The passenger side will be manual forwards backwards.
But one thing I've notice is that sedans dont have the controls in the door panel for the seats for both the passenger and driver side while the coupe has one on the drivers side. Don't know where the memory would be for the mbtex sedan

Aw man I am not sure why they do that where they it seems are forcing you to get the leather package if you want both driver and front passenger seats to be fully automatic and with 3 person memory! I would have liked it if they had made the front seats fully automatic for driver and front passenger on a $60,000 car!
I wonder if there is an option to JUST add the driver and front passenger side seats to have full power seats with memory WITHOUT choosing the leather option?

natman316, when did you place the order for your C63 sedan? Is it already in production and when are you expected to take delivery? Will you let me know if you do end up with the front seats with power adjustment?

I know the leather interior is expensive but you might want to reconsider your MBtex interior. You will take a hit on resale with a lot of people not even bothering to look at your car. At this price point people expect full leather even though MBZ makes it an option.

Yeah you have a point there...I will do it if there is no other way to get the power seats for both driver and passenger which I want to have anyways.

I think it really depends on how long the car is kept before deciding to part ways with it. There is some point of usage where a different type of person shops the car due to the price finally falling within their affordable range. Now where that point is would be beyond my knowledge. I am actually surprised that almost every new C63 I have seen come into local dealers has lacked the leather option.

Possibly for weight savings, or maybe it makes for a better driver's seat. I had all leather in my 09 C63, and it was great. I opted for the Dinamica in my new coupe and I like it better. Anxious to see if it holds up well!

BTW, I am told that Dinamica is much easier to clean than genuine suede (much like the Alcantara used in Porsches and others).

Just got my c63 amg sedan with mbtex interior last night. I can now confirm both seats in the sedan are not full power
and no memory. Pretty disapointing but other than that, I think the dinamica looks amazing

Not sure how true it is, but the AMG rep I spoke with says AMG is recognizing that Canada brings the most AMG sales per capita. Kinda interesting because it's winter 1/2 the time here too.
And yes, I expect our base MSRP to be more than the US $105k. If I'm wrong, it'll be a bigger bonus for us!

Just in case no one else knows, the coupes with MBTex/Dinamica have full power and memory on the driver's side and power seat back, without memory, on the passenger side. Passenger side forward and back seat position is manual.

I try to avoid it at all costs but sometimes crap just happens and it is those instances I worry about. Those instances are far easier to happen when in the car upwards of three hours a day with a toddler.

I am jealous. I test drove the coupe first but ended up ordering the sedan (just prefer the looks) but I always thought they would have memory for the sedan drivers side

I might be moving to Western Australia and was amazed when I saw how much these cars are there. Still though tempted to buy there, if I do move there.
