I plasti-dipped mine. I figured I can easily take it off if I don't like it but so far so good. It's working so well I don't even notice my side markers anymore. As far as being legal, I'm sure our respectable law enforcement officers have better things to do than checking out side markers.

been out in the garage for half an hour now. can't seem to get the amber's to pop out. i am exerting enough pressure to where if i add any more, i feel i will scratch the quarter panel. am i missing something?

Where r u accessing from? Go through the inside of wheel well. Turn ur wheel all the way to left or right. Take out three plastic scews. Pull the plastic cover out and you can feel the markers from inside unscrew the bulb and the
markers body and lense should pop out easily.

that's what i am trying, but can't seem to get the housing to pop out. i have all three screws out and can feel the entire marker and housing. i thought it was not necessary to remove the bulb?

will take another crack at it. just do't want to force anything and risk ruining the marker.

Super eay bud, takes ten minutes as long as you keep the housing lined up like mentioned above, if not it may take a couple longer but not difficult.

If you buy LED smoke side markers, i have a way to trick computer so they work.

Definitely fit, extremely easy to install. And +1 on not having xenon, pretty gay. Have to do a conversion kit asap.

You might have a Torx screw holding the lens to the housing. Most are lucky and don't have them, so they just pop out.

hey guys I just changed my side markers to smoked out ones.
not as dark as i'l hoped. but still a vast improvement over the stock ambers.

so yes, they fit on the coupe, and in case anyone was wondering, they fit on the black series.

it was easier to have someone hold back the liner while you try to take out and put back the markers, but even with my ham fists, I was able to change them out in about 15 - 20 minutes.

The e-bay listings say 2008-2011. Will these fit on the 2012 Coupe? If not, where are you 2012 guys ordering the smoked or clears from?

it does, the AMG models of the C uses the old style reflectors.
