Just picked up my 1st Benz C63 after driving BMW ///Ms for 10 yrs and...
NEVER LOOKED BACK after I got in!!!
I've been an ///M driver for the past 10 years, and I always looked at Benz's and said I would NEVER drive "one of those"... I wouldn't even test drive one nor even give it a thought..
Boy was I wrong!!!! What was I thinking all these years??? Lol.
I think I was so brainwashed by BMW fans and forums that Benz were heavy and could never even compete with the ///M's "superior" handling and styling.
But now that I am married and have a 2 1/2 year old son, the sports coupes and 2 seaters had to go..
So after selling my last 2009 e92 ///M3, I was in, what I THOUGHT was a bad situation. BMW stopped making the e90 m3's and the m5 is just too big a car for me. So I was really upset, thinking "Jeez.. there's NOTHING out there for me to get" NOTHING...
There was 1 2011 m3 sedan in jerez black available, in which I hate that color on the m3 and also the rear tail lights are just plain UGLY.
I was "this" close to just telling my salesman to grab it for me... but something suddenly dawned upon me...
"Hmmmm MAYBE I could give my buddy at Benz a call and see waht kind of numbers he would have on a C63 sedan"
I called him, and set up an appointment for a test drive...
I headed over there with very low expectations and wasn't excited about it at all.. Especially after my terrible experience at AUDI and the test drive of the S4.. UGH...
To make a long story short, I pulled into the dealership, and as I was getting out of my car, out rolls this GORGEOUS BLACK BEAUTY with the GROWL/ROAR of something OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! There it was...
the C63 AMG, black on black, with my salesman in the driver seat grinning at me...
I hopped in, and within 10 seconds og pressing the gas pedal, I had totally forgot about my M3 and Bmw. hahahahhaha
The rest is history... I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS CAR!!!~
Forgive me for being so ignorant and close minded fellow Benz owners..
I was wrong, DEAD WRONG. I hope I am welcome to join this forum, and I look forward to reading threads and posts about this AMAZING VEHICLE.
Thanks for your time... Here are a few pics i snapped this afternoon
Oh! Please, by all means, help me out and suggest some basic mods that I can start thinking about hooking her up with... Any tips and insight would be greatly appreciated!!!

Welcome to the Darkside! Most of those Bimmer fan boys only know what they read from the forums. You have to drive one of these badboys for yourself ot realize what it's all about.

but but but... it's slower than the M3 at the track!
Yea, I'd rather have an ear to ear grin in the car than a second faster at the track lol.
Welcome aboard!

I have both the M3 sedan and the C63. The M3 is a great car but the C has a 'sense of occasion' about it. It's also a better DD with the great big gobs of low end torque and more functional interior.
I gambled and put summer rubber on my M3 in January.... in Calgary.... It's an absolutely fantastic car once you get it going... but at anything less than full boil it doesn't get the juices going like the C63 does.

Btw. Tune is u best bang for your buck
Header will add a good portion of the power also but will make the car LOUD.
Coming from a BMW u deft need a LSD some light weight part you can get If u don't get headers that will make that car wake up nicely to.
If you ever SI I can take u from a spin or u can take u self.

BMW fanboy, what's that?--must be some new term I haven't heard before
Congrats and welcome!! BMW and their M division is changing for the worse IMO.
All of us are in on the "ground floor" with respect to AMGs future dominance over M.
There are many M converts to AMG with the introduction of this car and we will see even more with the C63 coupes and the M157 E63 and CLS63 taking sales away from the new M5.
I've got a couple buddies with M3s who try and bust my chops for driving my slush box AMG, but when I challenge them to some street races and highway runs, they quiet down. And they always come back with the race track challenge--to which I say okay best of three, twisties, drag and highway runs--we all know the outcome, AMG FTW!
And remember, 99% of us use these cars (M3 and C63) for street use anyway and IMO, the C63 is the better street car--so the track argument is really BS because it is not the whole picture. BTW if I was to buy a track car, it wouldn't be an M3, especially the e9x.
Anyway, welcome OP and just a side note, you should feel at home here on the C63 board because it is the closest thing to the M3 boards, both good and bad

Congrats,
I have been driving M's for a couple years now and I have to say it is a different monster but they are both amazing vehicles from an overall engineering standpoint.

C63 AMG
Congrats and welcome! I'll have to admit i've always likes the looks of the M3s better. At the end of the day the power, sound and straight line performance of the AMG cars it unmatch by anything in it's class. It's addictive
P.S. I have never been of the idea that these cars (M3s and C63s) were originally designed and built to be tracked. They are people haulers that have some sportness in them that can be track if you just HAVE to. Mercedes and BMW are trying every year to make these cars better on the track. True sports cars that are meant for the track do not have four doors and four seats. I think better options out there if you are big on "tracking" your cars. IMHO.
