I ground mine down with a high speed mini grinder. Both the joint that is bolted together between the fender/bumper and down the edge of the bumper. I also hammered the fender lip back flat against the fender. Unfortunately I was still rubbing on the fender side of the inner fender liner and the fender/bumper joint. I have redone my alignment to less extreme specs, replaced my 245/35/19 Michelin PSS with 235/35/19 PSS and not running any spacers (was running 10mm spacers). So far it seems fine and I will try to run a 5mm spacer and see if that will work. The 235 are both shorter and narrower but not a lot. If it is good I will run it like that. If not I will try to coax my alignment specs a little lower as I could not get them quite as low as I wanted but might be able to get a little more if I play with my K-Mac bushings a bit more. My front wheels are 8.5x19 ET +45. The rear is more flush and does not rub to speak of with 275/30/19 (now running 265 as the 275 are out of stock and I got a hole in the sidewall of the RR) and 10x19 ET +52. The front has been harder to get looking as flush as the rear.

What wheels specs are you running and what size tires?

^^ bro, try a 5mm spacers for 19x8.5 +40 & u should be ok with 245/35 PSS. 10mm spacers will make it +35 which is very aggressive with our cars as u must know.

I was on the same boat as u about the front being not flush enough.. I started with 19x8.5 +45 then 19x8.5 +41 but I wasn't happy.. Now I nailed it with 19x9 +40.

I feel ur pain about the 275/30 PSS shortage. I have been waiting 2 months for a set for the ISF, luckily my tire shop reserved me a set on the June batch so I should get them tuesday. Next batch will be end of July according to Tirerack website. Get on the back ordered list cuz it's worth the wait.

What wheels specs are you running and what size tires?
Fronts are 19x8.5 +45 Michelin pilot super sports 235/35/19
Rears are 19x9.5 +48 Michelin pilot super sports 275/30/19

I think it may also rubbing down the outside edge below the fender/bumper seam... What should I do about this? Go to a 225 series Michelin pss front tire?

^^ are u saying u are rubbing in the front with ur 19x8.5 +45 with 235/35/19? That is unlikely unless u r slammed.

Ur 19x9.5 +48 w/275/30/19 are more likely to rub over bumps & dips.

No it is 100% the fronts that are rubbing. I can see the spots on the bumper/fender and the marks left on the tires... The backs have been grinded down and seem to be clearing now. The fronts are not clearing over bumps/dips, especially with the wheel turned slightly to the right or left while hitting a dip in the road.

No problem, u are welcome here.. I was just surprised to see u rubbing with this set up til I realized which car u are driving. Lol

Well to answer ur question, I would just sell the wheels & get the right offset. I'm not too keen on shaving fenders or bumpers. Unless u know what u r doing , the chance of cracking the paint or rust are offsetting the cost of new wheels IMO.

So this offset is for the c63 and NOT the c300? I just want to confirm that since the offset and tire size was what was recommended to me by the company I purchased from. Do you know what offset would let me run the same size wheel and tire on my c300 4matic sport?

I'm not sure what is the regular C offset, but I believe they are lower than the C63. Let me search the forum.

Question to those with rears that rub...has anyone ever experienced it eventually grinding itself away?

Reason why I ask is I have Michelin Pilot Super Sports in 235/40-18 on 18x8.5+45 fronts and 265/35-18 on 18x9.5+45 rears. Unfortunately I rub in the rear, but never did with 255s. Part of me "hopes" that it'll rub itself away, but the other part thinks it may be doing damage while it does it.

Any thoughts? I'm currently still in the break in period of the tires (less than 500 miles).

Murdered, hit this thread up mate:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...on-thread.html

Everything you need to know about offset is in there. Take note that they use pretty conservative offset thresholds. I personally am running ET31 front and ET35 rear on 18x8.5 and 18x9.5 rims with pretty much no rubbing at all (strectched rubber though)

Just lowered MY09 with PP on H&R springs.

Resolution for rubbing issue? Roll fender?-hampr_zps8967026d.jpg

I also have Michelin PSS:

Front - 245/35/19 (12mm Spacer)
Rear - 265/30/19 (10mm Spacer)

Only rubs on really harsh bumps.

Are you rubbing the actual fender or bumper tab and how often does it rub?
Are you sure it's not rubbing from the front?
