Red face Wheel Information Thread

Seen (and made) quite a few posts about "will these wheels work?" "will these fit?" "are these too big?" so on and so forth. Starting this thread to maybe clear up some confusion. By posting offset info, wheel widths and wheel diameters that will work (i.e. no rubbing/fender chewing) for the C300/C350 then perhaps we can help people seeking information for wheels without having to create a new thread every time.

C300/C350 (non 4Matic) Wheel Information

Diameter Range
17" - 20"

Width Range
Front: up to 8.5"
Rear: up to 9.5"

Offset Range
+40 - +50

Bolt Pattern
5 x 112

Please correct this information/add to it if you personally have/have seen/know about/can verify etc. that (for example) there is a C Class with 22's out there.

I apologize if this has already been done/attempted...just trying to make a "one stop shop" for wheel information regarding the C Class. Thanks!

C300 Sports 4-Matic
I am in the market for new set of rims/tires. I have a Matic wanting to put 19x8.5F (+40) 19x9.5R (=50) with 235/35/19F and 255/30/19.

Would this set up will work on a Matic? I am not talking about rubbing, but mainly on a Matic/AWD.

just a few questions guyz... any input will be helpful.... i am doing a 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear with an offset of 42 in the front and rear... already ordered the rims so that is the bad thing.... the wheel company representative said that doing an offset 42 all around will best suit the car and ride quality.... however, after reading through some of the members post and ride'z, most went with a bigger offset on the back... should i be worried guyz? will this cause any rubbing issues??? oh, don't know if this help or not, but my setup is not to lower my car....thanks in advance fellas

Not sure what others have run, but I'm pretty sure my wheels have a higher offset, I think around +45 to +50 in the front and +50 to +55 in the rear. Will confirm tomorrow, but my wheels sit flush in my wheel well. +42 all around I think you may have rubbing problems, but don't hold me to it.

You might manage without rubbing but ET 42 with 8.5 and 9.5 wide rims will look horrible,

thanks illusive for the input.. i am also hoping it won't cause me any problem cause i waited so long to get these wheelz...they are actually being shipped from japan to the vendor... i will call the vendor tomorrow and definitely ask for an exchange from the vendor if it cause me any problems.. hopefully i don't need to go that far.. hey, illusive, my wheels are actually the same wheel company as yours....my wheels are schwert sc1... look like this..

.... the good part u said was the no rubbing... which is important to me.... the bad thing is that it will look horrible....however, maybe by not lowering my ride will help balance the defect of not having the proper offset.. hopefully when i get it, i can settle with the look..i can deal with a little flaw here and there.... if not then i hope i will able to exchange for a higher offset... appreciate the input fellaz..

OK so stupid question, but the OP says: Offset Range +40 - +50
Which I am reading as +40,41,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,49,50

However, my factory rims (C350 w/AMG 18") have an offset of 50/Front, 54/Rear so I think these numbers need to be fixed because my rear offset is out of the range provided.Can anyone provide a more accurate range for the offset, or even better also which other model AMG wheels will fit? I was looking at the 2006 SL55 multispoke wheels, which are 18x8.5 ET 37 front and 18x9.5 ET 30 rear. Best, does anyone have the C350 AMG 18" wheels for sale? The front rims have to be flawless.

Will add 54 to the top range! This is what the thread is for, I put the initial list as the information that I personally had. As more people try/experiment I will try to add to the "bible" of wheel info!

OK, So I found this website that specializes in OEM style wheels for Mercedes, and I thought it needed to be posted somewhere.

So what happend to the rears? I had some rear 9.5" et41 Brabus reps with 265/30/19 from my w203 and there was way too much poke (something like 8mm to far out) that would have resulted in damage to the sheetmetal had I put them on and drove around. I ended up selling them.

the rear is the same as the front... i will be getting my set soon in about a few dayz to a week... i hope it will not rub.... if it does, then i have to consider some other options to see how they fit.. might do a fender roll or other options..... i don't know cause i haven't seen the rims yet... i hope the width and fenders on the w204 is bigger than the w203...

Tirerack.com lists some options. Stay close to the optional 18" tire width & dia, and wheel offset spec's listed above for the C300 Sport. And, be sure to meet or exceed the load rating I listed for this 18" option.

Wheel weight ?

Any chance someone has weights for the standard wheels, and could add it to this thread ( both rims and tire+rim weight would be fantastic ) or a link to a site that has that info.

I did some quick search on tirerack.com which lists weights for most of their rims, and there are some in the 23lb range, down to 19lb. I am interested in the 18" AMG, and looks like they are about 34lb based on searches on this site, which seems a bit heavy compared to what is listed on tirerack.

Swapped over to my winter tires on my stock AMG wheels today as there is a chance of snow on the weekend. Good news is that I was final able to determine what my wheel offsets were. My wheel and tire setup is:

Front:
19x8.5 +43 235/35/19

Rear:
19x9.5 +50 265/30/19

You can see pics of my C with the wheels installed if you do a quick search (or my sig ), but they sit pretty much flush with the wheel well.

im trying to order my new rims custom. What would be the perfect set up on a 2010 C300, im going with 19's even though everyone is telling me 20's would look better. I was thinking 19's 8.5 & 9.5 and +45 front & +55 rear. What do you guys think ?
