New C63 Owner - UK
Hi there,
Just picked up myself a C63, Unlike a lot of you guys across the pond its somewhat unusual for a 25yr old to have a car like this over here so im pretty excited about it!
Its an '08 non PP model, few nice bits like the wheels, ipod cable & rear blind. It feels way faster and quicker to change gear than the other two non PP ones i test drove so i wonder if it has been remapped. I wont know until i find me a dyno - local one tops out at 280bhp ish!
As you can see its been vinyl wrapped in a matt/satin black which was just what i wanted so when i found it i snapped it up, saving me quite a bit of cash.
Plans - I would really like to get the DTM F1 safety car bumper on it and a CF rear diffuser but im not sure where to get the bumper from over here as revozport dont seem to have a distro.
Still, enjoy!

Nice car congrats! I like the matte colour and the rims.
Silly question...but since they retail for less (about 57K) over there in the UK when compared to the US or Canada (about 80K) I'd have thought they'd be much easier to pick up for younger guys, but this isn't the case?
Enjoy the car!

Congrats and enjoy! It still is somewhat unusual for a 25yo to own something like this unless you live in certain cities in North America (Vancouver comes to mind). However, I'm also 25, but I'm unusual Hard work pays off!

However that's not to say younger drivers here don't drive fast cars. It just makes it a rarer sight.
Sorry to the OP for going off topic. I love hearing about other young drivers and good on you for buying a fantastic car

4 days of ownership and i LOVE the car, i have just ordered a CF diffuser for the rear, an ebay special so i dont know how good it will be but it was cheap so i took a chance!
Insurance for drives under 25 is nuts over here, I used to drive a CL500 and the insurance was £2250 / year and as "ex 335i" says £1.50 Lt for proper fuel is a killer. That said, as soon as i tipped the 25 mark (2 weeks ago) the insurance came down to £800
Still - got 24.1mpg on my commute to work, (125miles) mainly 80mph on cruise but with the occasional hoon. is this what most people would expect to see? its only 2mpg ish less than my e46 325i used to get so im not too worried but i want to know how to get the claimed 30.1mpg!

Yes, not too bad, Averaged 22mpg with the slightly less conservative return journey, a bit of cold start lunchtime driving and a lay over at the pub on the way home. about 2-3mpg less than i would have got in my 325i - shocking!!
45k on it so far.
