I want to change headlight on my 2012 C63 AMG Coupe

Hello guys,

Here is the car I just bought:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post5068023

People noticed immediately that it had No xenons!

I think the headlight isn't cool enough for the C63 as well.

But I had no experience in modifying a car whatsoever.

So could people tell me about the procedure? Buy online and bring to a car stereo shop?

Recommended brand? I searched online and it seems that there is no "customized" headlight for the 2012 C model yet.

For example, I'm thinking about change to xenons, or just add angel's eyes.

Your C63 is beautiful, just curious, why didn't you buy the C63 with the Light Package from the get-go?

yeah, you really need the xenons.
I don't know why mercedes would even offer an AMG car without them. It blows my mind!

They're probably 1500-2000 bucks each from the dealership. Unless you find some on ebay or ebay.de

It will be probably quite expensive to retrofit bi-xenons.
Just get a 6000k HID Kit from AZN Optics

Best way is to buy the hid head light assembly from dealer or somewhere reputable and do it right.

Buying a xenon kit and stick it into a halogen housing will make you look bad if you do that you will end up with a flood beam aimed everywhere except the road, cops will pull you over, you'll blind everyone on the road and people will stare at you...in a bad way.

Agreed, you need a projector kit installed otherwise the HID will reflect everywhere and look like crap and blind everyone in sight. Do it right and get that projector retrofitted or pony up for new headlights that have the stock projectors and then you can upgrade using the kit posted earlier.

My 2011 C63 didnt come with the lighting package but atleast has projector headlights. I wonder why they did away with those. Though only cheap American cars came with no projector housing.

Yeah if I was going to do it I would buy it at dealer and let them install it, I think C63 needs to be programed in order for the electronics to work as well and the dealer has the tools to do it. Plus you get warranty so if something goes wrong you can always take it back and hammer them.

I'm in the same exact situation. I talked to mb dealer; quoted me around 8K for just the housing... even though the entire package is 2k when ordered with the car. Oh well. looks like I have to wait for something like this to be developed for the 2012 model. http://www.ebay.com/itm/DRL-Angel-Ey...#ht_3226wt_955

you need a pair of factory OEM housing, and a pair of aftermarket D1S bulbs and ballasts
