You should use an X or H pipe rather than two straight pipes to balance out exhaust flow. You will have to make one cut in one pipe behind the resonator. The rest are held on by factory clamps.

A. you will not see any gains with a resonator delete, be it a X pipe, H pipe, or straight pipes.
B. You will lose that AMG bark if you go with an X pipe. Yes, the sound will be smoother but it wont sound as aggressive.
Personally, I would replace the resonators with straight pipes and replace the 2ndary cats with an X pipe.
H pipe would be a great option also. Gives you the bark of the straight pipes, but will balance exhuast pulses from the left and right banks.
Again, this setup will not sound as aggressive as replacing your resonators with straight pipe.
Sound is totally subjective, if you want a smoother sound go with the X pipe, if you want a more aggressive sound go with straight pipes.

I wouldn't replace the resonators with an X pipe for 2 reasons.

The AP exhuast already comes with an X pipe that connects to the OEM resonator clamps.

I pretty much want the same kind of sound, just a lot louder! (which is why I'm not messing with the muffler).

if I did a secondary cat delete with an x pipe, and a resonator delete with straight pipes, would I still get the "bark"? Or would an H pipe and straight pipes be a better combo?

MBH X pipe + resonator delete.
Here is another video of my setup with straight through exhaust.
2ndary cats and resonators both replaced with straight pipes.
Notice how the first setup sounds alot smoother.
The 2nd setup is just straight up LOUD, but too much rasp.
If you want the same type of sound but louder you have to replace the 2ndary cats with straight pipes and replace the resonators with an H pipe.
FYI The OEM resonators have a small built in H pipe.

The best sounding C63's seem to be running there stock mufflers. I've heard a few different systems in person. For me, I happen to like the way the stock system sounds with some exhaust mods.
I think Mercedes hit a home run with the tone of the C63 muffler long with the C55, CLS55, CLS63. However the E55 and SL55 and 65 leave something more to be desired.
My advice to people looking to mod their mufflers and or their exhaust system is this. Save the mufflers for last. Mods like Xpipes on the OEM system, to full on header/mid-section systems change the tone a lot. If then you want more than go for it.

Mercedes really got it right with the C63 mufflers.
The only other mufflers ive heard that sounds as good as OEM is Eisenmann.

The guy too talk to is at ACG in San Diego. They've done a lot of C63's. I was standing behind one when they started it and the sound almost knocked me down.

Is your first video with the resonator delete/straight pipes + secondary cat delete/X-pipe? I really love the sound you achieved. I just want to be sure of the right pieces in the right locations. Does the brand of X-pipe make a difference?
Here is a video of my setup.

You would have to go to an exhaust shop for pricing.
I paid $695 for the MBH X pipe, and $100 for resonator delete.
