^^ Some bad rep from that dealership i've heard.. even from their service. my mechanic works on some of their cars that they can't fix (they outsource them).

I've purchased/leased 7 new Mercedes Benz vehicles from the Tysons Corner VA location over the past 8 years. Up until recently, the service and attitude has been acceptable, if not gracious.

I've been known to go to the dealership in jeans or cargo shorts. I'm over 40, and at a point in my life where people dress up to see me, not vice versa. But I don't expect to be "kissed up to," either. However, I don't expect to be assaulted verbally after having spent about $1 million on new vehicles at a dealership over 8 years.

Not only has Penske Group (owner of the Tysons Corner and Chantilly MBZ dealerships, as well as the TC Audi dealership, among others) lost me as a customer, I'll never buy another Mercedes-Benz ever again based on the service and attitude of the staff at the Tysons MBZ dealership. And MBZ corporate was useless, they really don't care how many cars you've bought or what problems they or their dealers have created. Don't even bother following up with them...it's a complete waste of time.

At this point, I don't take it that MBZ is acting as though they are "too good" for me...in fact, it's quite the contrary. They're having to go down-market and really can't be bothered dealing with a high-end clientele who don't expect to be treated poorly, nor tolerate it.

Good luck to them on unloading $100k+ S Classes and GL 550s to their apparent new target market of Toyota and Chevy buyers. Mercedes Benz is now, officially, a joke. Check out Bentley and Maserati for real cars supported by real dealers.

Ok I do need to give props to the following MBZ dealers, though:

First, Mercedes Benz of Hilton Head (it's actually in Bluffton, SC, near Hilton Head Island) is awesome. Very fast response time for roadside assistance. Highly recommended.

Second, Tysinger MBZ in Hampton, VA also offers amazing service. My S550 blew out a tire on a Saturday evening, and their roadside assistance responded in less than 30 minutes. PLUS...the service manager even opened up the service department on Sunday (even though they were closed) to replace the blown tire with a proper replacement that was not available at any other local tire store (which they assisted in finding out), saving me the hassle of driving on a temp spare at a max of 50 MPH on I-95 (east coast folks will understand that driving that speed on I-95 is basically the same as asking to be shot, literally). Also very highly recommended.

David James was my service advisor too. Stupid for them to label him as the AMG Specialist but I think they only call him that because he has a sick E63 with tons of work!

I live in Oklahoma City and have purchased an ML320 at the local dealer where they have done the service without issue. I looked an edition one C63 last winter but decided against it-they let me drive it no problem. When I finially decided to pull the trigger on a C63 coupe I called them and talked to my salesman. He proceeded to drag his feet and I had to call him 3-4 times to find out why so slow getting a price and build date a new C63. After 4 weeks he gave me the MSRP without a delivery time frame. Said they don't discount AMG's. Ok, fine. Called park place in grapevine TX. They gave me 3% off MSRP and they had one in production that I could modify. Now it is at the dealer waiting for me. Oklahoma City dealer lost a sale for no good reason.

We are retired and grey. Before buying the C63 we went to the main Portland Or Cad dealer to look at CTS V. They had 2. The redneck sales dude could not let us drive one... so we went accross the river and bought the C 63 from an old cunning dude who knew better. That reminds me of years ago when a fancy Ferarri-Porsche-Audi dealer in CA required an appointment to drive the "exotic" Audi 5000T. We went to Santa Monica, bought one and sent a copy of the sticker to the Ogner dudes. We had shed our flip flops for shoes...??? Go figure.

Well, my experience is deal with a owner, small business dealer .
The big dealers suck . Salesmen, who cares, just order takers. They do not know torque from rpm. That is why we are are on these forums.

Idk if i posted on this before, i feel like i have but anyways.

Mercedes of alexandria, in va. ****tiest dealership i've ever been to, excuse my language. Had my car for two weeks, didn't fix anything. ( screen kept closing by itself randomly ) and 50 miles later i get a "hey we don't know whats wrong with your car, but give us some time and we will". I go to the dealership, ask this service advisor called Rick for my keys. He apologizes, i get into my car, see my gas on RESERVE when it was at half. 53.8 miles on the dash. Walk back in FUMING and all rick could say was sorry, we had to drive it to a different dealer. I could of done that myself, and i never consented or was informed that my car was delivered elsewhere, told him off, left.

I currently take my car to the tysons mercedes. My advisor is Chris. Very honest and helpful guy, calls me on a daily basis and replies to emails almost instantly. He became the service manager in about two months! Stand up guy.

Euromotors Bathesda. If youre willing to make the trip, you wont be dissapointed.

Agree 100%. Used to buy my cars from bigger dealerships until I happened upon a smaller out of state dealer and it was the best thing I ever did. Trustworthy, honest and no pressure buying. I've done all my cars from them since.

I'm old and bald. Two years ago when I went looking for a used 09 C63 my local dealer had one with 12K miles on, would not CPO the car and would not come off at $56k price. I seached all California dealers and found 8 other available. After two weeks of baseball negotiations with several dealers, I got a loaded (exp P30) with 9k on it, CPO, for $52K in Sacramento. I gave my local dealer one last chance. The sales person said would you go all the way to Sacramento just to save $4k. Hella yah and please drive me to the airport.

Should post the link to this thread on MB Group facebook page as well as the individual dealership facebook pages. Should also email it to the MD / CEO / Sales Director and some action will be taken quick!

I've got a little mix of good and bad here, and sometimes was good then became bad then sort of good again lol I suppose it depends on the individual, after all people are always the weakest link.

Mercedes Benz Manhattan - Used to have good service experiences here, bought a car from them too. But to me it seemed like when they changed locations they changed attitudes too. This was especially evident after they messed up the repairs and wheels on my CLK and not only made no attempts at making it right they went as far as to say none of it was their fault.

Prestige Mercedes Benz - And for that matter Land Rover too, been in there to look at cars a few times and every time they treat me like an idiot and play games - though they did let me test drive a CPO Mars Red C63 coupe not too long ago that ultimatly led me to buying my new C63 coupe - at a different dealership

Sovereign Mercedes Benz - Purchased a car from them years ago and had pleasent sales and service experience, then while servicing my E55 was outright lied too about several issues. I havent used their service department since then but I have used them for parts/sales and they have gone above and beyond to help me out.

Mercedes Benz of Silver Springs - Purchased one car from them, honest straight forward and didn't waste my time.

Mercedes Benz Massapequa - Just purchased my C63 Coupe from them, excellent experience so far hopefully continues.

One thing I have noticed, seems like for every good experience there is a bad and vice versa. Kinda feels like a crap shoot sometimes lol

2014 E550 4matic, 2012 C63, Gone: 2000 E320 4matic and 2002 C320 Wagon
Ontario

Mercedes Benz Barrie (noticed there was one other post about this dealer)

After purchasing a 2012 c63 from the dealer, within a month, I put in another order for a C300 for a family member. Identified a car that they assure me is available so I close the deal anticipating a 3 week delivery. 3+ weeks pass and i call to enquire and they tell me then that they were not able to get that car as promised. Turns out they knew days after the sale date that they could not get that car but decide not to say a thing until i call. The general manager tells me that another dealer picked it off but no explanation for their lack of communication or attentiveness. At this point, I'm 4 weeks in with no car, they discouraged me from ordering a vehicle to spec because it would take to long but suggest I reconsider the colour and pick another vehicle. I reluctantly agree but insist that if they can't get me the car in 2 weeks, i don't want it. Just like a used car salesman they assure me that they can deliver because the car was in the country and assured me that my order is top priority because of what had happened. Four (4) weeks later after constantly calling a non-responsive sales person and general manager they finally call me back to tell me that the car arrived by no other than the general manager. he instructs me to call the business manager to make arrangements for delivery. I call to make an appointment to pick up the car on the weekend and they tell me they don't have time to do a proper delivery.

After repeated complaints, they arrange to deliver the car the following monday. As part of the deal, i used a $250 accessories credit that i received at a recent auto show and i order (well in advance) a 1:18 scale diecast C63 model car ($180 value). They agree to deliver it when they deliver my car. No surprise it's not in stock and they promise that they will deliver it just as soon as they get it in stock. 4 weeks later (sounding familiar!) after repeated calls to the non responsive business manager and general manager, I call their parts manager who tells me that they tried to order the car but it was no longer stocked. After a rash of repeated calls and relaying my conversation to the business manager that I now know they don't have the part, i get an immediate response from the business manager that they got the model car in stock and they want me to drive 60km to the dealer to pick it up. Once again, expressing discontent with extreme prejudice they agree to deliver it. As you would guess, they delivery this 1:43 scale matchbox size C63 model (value $43?). These guys redefine a whole new level of incompetence.

they are non-responsive, non-attentive, make promises they can't keep and pulled a product substitution without compensating me for the difference.

At this point, i decide to write a letter to MB Canada's client relationship manager. Within a day, I get a personal call from her apologetic beyond comprehension and promises that the matter will be addressed. Same day, I get a call from the regional sales guy repeating regret. Lastly, I get a call from the dealer principle (owner) apologizing for the insolence of his staff and offering to personally look after me the next time I purchase a car.

Top marks to MB Corporate for their responsiveness in the matter.

As for the dealer, they will never see me again. To bad as I am shopping to replace my old E class.

2013 C63 AMG
So here we go. LEITH MB in Raleigh, NC.

Issues-

Not given the option to lease my C63, but was only informed of the possibility after purchase.

The sales person and I initially agreed on a trade in for my car. I paid the tax difference from my old car and the new C63. The new c63 was being built at the time of trade in, but the dealership took my older car. 3 days later, the dealership tells me that they made a mistake and I need to get my old car out of their lot and cannot trade in my car until the new one arrives. At the time, my trade in value was 60,000. 26 days later, my new C63 arrives and now my trade in value is 58,000.

New car arrived with paint blemish on the door. A small rock looked like it was painted over.

When I rolled off the lot onto the freeway, the hood shook from wind catching underneath it over 50MPH. I pulled over to closely inspect that the hood was angled higher on one side than the other.

After the first fuel up, the gas door couldn't shut.

The GPS either could not find specific addresses of large establishments, or would find the address and bring me no where near where I needed to go.

My Ipod wouldn't play in my car even though the car read it.

I know the dealership wasn't directly responsible for the last 2 but, you figure that they would have the courtesy to do a full inspection and test of each part considering the car cost over 70000$.

I'm not happy with the service, and quality I have received from such a remarkable car.

State law requires the labor rate to be posted where the general public can see it. It also requires a written estimate of all work. Report them.
