Fabing up custom X pipe. Sound clip to follow.
I got a few pics to post and a sound clip will be added once we are done here.
Pretty straight forward job... Lucky me my lil bro is a welder

After:
The videos don't quite get the raspy sound as its more pronounced when you
re down shifting and getting off the throttle... But you can tell the sound is more even and balanced. In the car isn't as loud either. Low end feels crisper and more responsive too.
Pic of the final fitment tacked together ready for final weld.
Anyone that has LTH would really benefit from this mod. its makes the exhaust note much more clearer and civil.

Aside from the hard work you and your bro put into designing and doing this mod to improve your ride thanks for all the work you put into sharing this information with us. Job well done all around!

I don't want catless for myself, i wonder if high flow cat headers are made for these cars. Regardless, WOW your car sounds amazing

Thanks Mort, but my lil bro did most of the grunt work. He did a fabulous job. Only took about 5 hrs from start to finish and cost under 100bucks.
"MHP LTs with Catalytic (Metallic Substrate 200-300cpi)Mids"
At the bottom of the paragraph it gives you options for cat or cat-less mid pipes.
Why do you want cats?
I'd love to buy one and give your bro some business. It's a 3" x pipe?

PM me if your interested... you would have to get your exhaust shop to cut it to fit in there. You have MHP LT and mids right? It requires you to cut your mids, then cut the X pipe to fit and weld to the mids. The X pipe slides over and clamps into the male and female ends which are supplied in the MHP kit... So it connects to the resonator without any welding...
Ya its a 3" X pipe.
Cold start with X pipe. It used to crackle really really loud before the X pipe.

My brother is fabing up a couple more of these at work.. If you want one let me know, it will be identical to mine, but you will have to get an exhaust shop to cut it to length and weld it in.. Give me a PM if you are interested.
Video of LTH without X pipe. Raspy and then gargles on decel.
