Why are ///M Owners so defensive?

I love both cars, but....why are the M3 owners now commenting that they can beat a stock c63? I mean, whether true or not, you both are modded. What's the point? Is your M3 faster than a Civic? Stock for stock...yes....but if a Civic owner says on the M board "I beat up M3's by 5 car lengths all day long" and not supporting that with their mods, of course you will get the eye rolling responses. There are or were at least some very fast Civics in the VA/MD area walking Z06's...great but that only proves modding changes everything. Again, I like both cars and you can't go wrong with either...let's all get along...lol

These so called "defensive M3 owners" are not true enthusiasts in my book, but just show-offs. I appreciate a well rounded fixed up civic next to a Maserati next to a stock c63 next to a classic Volvo. It is an awesome thing that we can have different choices of performance cars. Imagine how lame it would be if we only have one type. A person thinking there car is just the best is just stupid. There is always advantages and disadvantages. I use to be all about m3 due to its popularity. But once I got to autocross the c63 at a Mercedes event and realize its daily fun factor after purchasing it, which by the way is what 90% of us do 99% of the time. There's no doubt.

maybe a pre 2012 c63. otherwise i wouldnt believe it without proof.
new c63's have tested 0-60 3.7 sec. thats almost a full second faster than the m3

"c63 just got updated" , what do you mean? what year c63 you talking about.? if its a 2011, 10, or 09 maybe, but a 2012, you wont touch it with an m3.
new cls 63 > new m5.
new cls 63 modded >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> new m5 modded.

Ok since we live in today with the cars as is. thats fine. AMG has a MUCH more powerful engine it can put into its 2014 C63. So in fact lets wait until the next generation of cars and see. The 2012 is just an update.. its not a new model. All they did really was change the interior and add a new transmission (which makes a big difference).

the thing with M is that for some reason, they dont like throwing in hundreds of more horsepower in the new gen cars. sadly, the next m3 is probably going to have around 500 hp and when amg throws in this biturbo engine in the next c63, itll 'destroy' it. something about M cars cant be compared with AMGs though. from the buttons that determine shift speed to throttle response to the differential and overall driving feel...unlike an amg where you can just floor it and be the worst driver imaginable and get a sub 12 1/4 mile time, with Ms you need to feel the engine response and actually need to know what youre doing

Track your car one day and then track a C63 (if someone will even let you) and you'll see how much more you need to know what you're doing! Go away dude... you're trying to justify an M3 to car nuts who already know a lot about both cars since we all strongly considered each model.

Simply because it's usually the M owners that instigate it all to begin with.
