The markers look like they might be the same as the ones on the regular C. Try to do a side by side or swap from a regular C or C63. If so the ebay clear or smoked markers will work.

Nexlogic and Barry,

Would you advise me to bring a spare set of dentures when I pick up my car next week?
I may need to replace the set that is dislodged from the suspension pounding.

Actually, I don't need dentures (yet), but you get my idea.

so they HAVE to put those ridiculous things on the car?

i know for certain i saw couple of cars here in edmonton the other day that didnt have any whatsoever. so what gives?

obviously we have to black them out or paint match them..but why does a silly minivan get to go without them but a sportscar has to have them.? and you still have to put up with that huge ugly shape thing.

its such a pity. the ones on the SLS are just foolish looking.

Alberta (as well as every other province and territory in Canada) requires orange reflectors up front and red reflectors out back. From the Highway Traffic Act:

34(1) A motor vehicle and a trailer shall, on and after January 1, 1981, be equipped with, on each side of it,
(a) one amber side reflex reflector as close to the front of the motor vehicle or trailer, exclusive of the trailer tongue, as is practicable,
(b) one red side reflex reflector as close to the rear of the
motor vehicle or trailer as is practicable
I've had friends with clear reflectors get their car towed because cops aren't always too friendly with young guys driving expensive cars. I just tint mine dark to not break any laws, and make the ugliness less noticable.

Are you sure the minivan you saw didn't have it as part of it's headlight cluster?

it must/may have been part of the headlight cluster. it did wrap around the side quite a bit. but if this is allowed why doesnt MB do this?

it look SOOO much less idiotic, and it isnt even noticeable that way!

the separate side markers look like an afterthought.

it figures we have to have this, there are so many dumbass rules we have to go by here in canada,
last year i actually got arrested, yes arrested, for not shoveling the bit of sidewalk in front of my house quick enough. i couldnt believe it. i actually laughed at the cop when they told me there was a warrant out for my arrest for snow removal.

It's cheaper to add a reflector, than to have a north american specific headlamp cluster that includes a reflector.

I prefer it this way. You can remove it, clear it, tint it much easier and cheaper than changing out to a euro headlamp cluster, or modifying a cluster with reflector. Have you seen the DIY on headlamp clusters? It involves baking the thing in an oven!

but i dont think youd even need to worry about modifying it if it were integrated into the headlamp cluster, its not nearly as noticeable or as silly looking... like i said i never even noticed it on the minivan. just noticed that it didn't have the stupid side reflector.

And then a lot of people will want to get them out of the headlight module. Easier to mod in the bumper cover.

I was going to trade in my car for a c63 coupe. But they screwed up my order and I dont want to wait another 2-3 months for one... Supposedly mine was one of the first ones in the state. Btw when you made that right... your car sounds angry! You werent even giving it a lot of gas right?

Nice. Good luck on geting the C63 soon. We'll go to Cars & Coffee.

Just had the car on Sport mode. Sometimes I wish it was a bit louder though.
