I think the oposite than you, the new SLK looks much better than the last two models. The first and second gen SLK's are for women and my ex drives the last generation as well. The new SL is supposed to be much lighter than its last model, combine that with the new 550 and a tune it would be potent.

I have a 2013 SL 550. It is a lot of fun to drive. I love it. I have had an S63, SL63, SL65.

I can offer a little bit of insight here as my partner owns a new SL550 and can say its a marvelous car in every way, however it's very different than the C63 drive experience in that it is more of a gran-cruiser, a little bit more light on its feet and almost "floaty" dare I say. Changing the SL's ABC setting to 'sport' changes things a bit, but say goodbye to exhaust note as its pretty much non-existent. Some of the things that make the C63 exhilarating might be lost a bit on the move to the SL but that being said, go try the SL, you might love her! It's a great car.

the new slk is leaps and bounds better than the previous models. I stare at them both all day as I work at a Benz dealership..... however, to even mention it in the same sentence as the redesigned 2013 sl550 is silly. the sl is AMAZING.

I have an 09 c63 and compared to a new sl550 it is a base model Kia. trade it.
