I'm going to disagree with those stating that the fit and finish of US branded vehicles being crap. My 09 C63.. the interior on that is absolute garbage, there is no way to say otherwise.. it rattles slightly, it is cheap and plastic. Obviously that would be to keep the cost down.
My wifes jeep Grand Cherokee, is is one model above the cheap cheapest model of GC. The fit and finish is great, the quality is up there too. Things have changed in the last few years.. if you want cheap and plastic with crappy assembly., look at Toyota.. to a lesser extent, Honda and Nissan..
It's time to look beyond a badge, and go with whatever floats your boat.

Absolutely agreed, my 12 Durango RT has impressed me beyond all expectations. Compared to the Navigator, MDX and GLK that I had prior, this Dodge is light years ahead in ride, finish and materials.Originally Posted by jvanbrecht

I have to disagree with the earlier comments about launching AWD cars. They dominate the stock production 0-60 stats. Veyron, 997 Turbo S and GTR all under 3 seconds.

If you think that 1997 Ferrari 355 is a "quality" vehicle, you have something coming to you. That car is a primadonna that will cost a small fortune to maintain.[/quote]
that's where you are wrong my friend, the 355 is one of the most reliable ferrari's they built....any ferrari will cost you a small fortune to maintain....i worked on ferrari's for about 10 years

so he thought you were awd. sure the badges weren't 392? but if they were 345, a 370 hp r/t hemi, he obviously had no idea you were in an amg, or in all likelihood, what an amg even was.
even the new 392 challenger wouldn't be able to touch the c63,

I would be worried about getting caught a second time so soon after the last one. Good story regardless

That said.. I have never understood why they use such small brakes, even in the Corvette Z06 parked in my office parking lot.. tiny *** little rotors and pads...

Corvette has such small brakes because its a fiberglass body car and its light weight unlike the C63 it doesn't need big disks to slow it down in a hurry.
ZR1 and Z06 have bigger brakes then stock cars.
