Loss of Power--Help

Hello all. I really need your help. I was driving highway speeds and immediately felt a loss of power, change in engine noise and CEL came on. It blinked I think once or twice and then stayed on solid. I was barely able to accelerate and any incline in the freeway was a challenge. I also noticed that it was sucking up gas in an alarming rate. As I got to my home it stalled out in garage and I am unable to start it. It has a heavy smell of gasoline. I have called MBZ towing to take it to dealership. Does anyone know what is going on? It is completely stock, no mods. I must have bad luck with AMG's...my last one was an E55 and had an eerily similar event, but that one died completely at highway speeds. anyhow, any insight would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

Sorry I can not help you but it sure sounds weird. Maybe a leak in the fuel system somewhere. Fuel pump failure? There are much smarter C63 people on this site and I am sure one or more of them will have the answer. Hope it is all fixed very soon.

update: spoke with SA today, said that the fuel injector got stuck open. They were still looking into it and trying to find out why that happened and what else may have been effected.
Does this make sense with what I was experiencing? And, what other issues should I make sure they address so I don't have problems down the road. TIA

Probably washed all the oil off the cylinder wall too. I'd have them check it for scoring or glazing. How many injectors were stuck? And did your engine temp rise?

i believe only one injector was stuck but I am not 100% certain. If I recall the temp did rise some but not significantly. Thanks for the heads up on what to look for. This issue is above my base knowledge so I appreciate all of your input.

2009 Fully loaded C63 AMG - black on black and CF trim; 2006 Lexus IS250 AWD;
Did they say is because of low grade of gas being used or mix gasolines?

They didnt say. I was told they were supposed to be getting an injector in today and they would be checking out the spark plugs and likely replacing those as well.

Thats pure BS. I dont think a stuck injector needs replacement. worse case, they would add an additive and the case will be resolved instantly. Becareful when they are replacing an injector. They shouldnt just replace one and they should replace all eight to have equal fuel flow. Make sure you tell them this. I can see you are dealing with non professionals

Thanks so much! I just wrote my SA and told them this. Hopefully they listen to my concerns. Any and all suggestions/concerns are greatly appreciated.

Be very careful when dealing with your SA and dealer, while suggestions are fine, whether or not they are being professional, they do not like it when people surf the internets (yes I stuck the s on there for the fun of it and pluralized it) and then tell them what to do..

just something to keep in mind.
