from a roll, absoloutely. the viper is much lighter and more powerful. But how does a stock viper with stock tires (4th generation) compare with a C63 BS from a standpoint. Launching in a 4th generation viper is a *****. I have seen it skid on track many times. Dodge mentioned in some recent articles that they have resolved this issue by improving the dynamics of the drivetrain and installing a modified diffrential. for the 5th generation.
What does the C63BS have stock? I don't think it competes very closely with the 4th gen ACR.
Could a C63BS beat a 4th gen ACR? Sure - in an actual race, anything can happen. But the ACR should consistently win the vast majority of encounters, assuming equal driving.
My $0.02.

The 4th gen Viper ACR comes stock with 80 treadwear MPSC's - 295 fronts and 345 rears. It only weighs 3400 pounds. It has 600 HP, and 560 ft-lbs of torque. Plus a Ring time of 7:12.

The differences are the BS is a tech car. Auto transmission and great power. AKA easy to drive. The ACR is a drivers car. Weak in the hands of someone who doesnt know how to drive it, AMAZING is the hands of someone who does.
Best driver you can find in both cars the BS would get smoked in every way by a 4th gen ACR. Even more so by the 2013 it would seem by all of its improvements.

I think the ACR would handle the 2013 around most tracks. The new Viper has more power, but way less downforce. I'd guess that it would lap 10s slower around the Nordschleife.

The dude you're responding to likes to berate and insult the intelligence of any member (no matter how well respected) on this forum. I like your response though.
On topic though, it's been said earlier....driver's being equal, there is NO speed or track category where the BS can even closely match the ACR. I am curious to see if a new ACR version of the 2013 is also planned!

The member stated things that I did not mention. " viper doesnt stand a chance of beating a BS". Which by the way, couldnt answer my question as to where I mentioned such thing. He realised he made a dump post and replied back trying to be funny instead of apologising.
Never did I say such a thing, and it isnt "Intelligent" to mention it, when my previous posts explain otherwise.
I think both of you are insulting your own intelligence.

There's almost no discussion about it as a last gen Viper ACR will OWN the new C63BS in all performance categories barring shift times seeing that the BS is an auto lol

The 4th gen would also stomp the BS. I don't see how this is even a discussion. ![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)

Before buying the C, I debated between a few cars and the viper was one of them.
The 2 issues that brought me to the conclusion of buying the AMG versus the Viper was
-Interior built quality of the Viper was simply horrible.
-Customer service at the dealership.
Most people will live in the car and bring it to the dealer more times than going to the dragstrip or roadcourse so the power advantage IMHO was not enough to outweigh the 2 issues above.
It remains to be seen but I think they have solved the quality issue on the 2013 viper so I am looking forward to a test drive of the new snake. It also looks more polished with its Italian blood.
Very tempting but the new GT500 also packs the goods with decent built quality for 1/2 the price...
Decisions, decisions...

GTS will actually be the upgraded version. SRT replaces "Dodge" as the brand name just as Ram has for Dodge trucks. The base version will not have a specific moniker. The ACR designation is still undecided but there are plans to have a "track package" as an option for the GTS, same power, ultra lightweight wheels, adjustable suspension and track tuned stability settings. Aero is probable considering the current ACR creates 1100 pounds of downforce at 150 mph.

I do think a third gen would have a hard time with the c63, but a fourth gen stock non ACR would beat it handily.
ACR-X posted a 7:03 at the NBring Nord. ACR at 7:12.
The new viper probably won't pull that mainly because of downforce and handling even with traction control.
Regardless, comparing two very different cars, one is more geared towards the Ferrari 430 scuderia/Audi R8/Porsche GT2 crowd. C63 imo is more geared toward the DTM crowd. (which is kind of obvious)

Just drove my friends 06 with headers, intake and tune and that thing flys. Its a total race car. the seat and interior just hugs around you. Suspension is stiff as hell and it feels like the car is on rails.
