My New Car!
Well, sold my Iridium Silver 2012 C63 and picked up this 2012 Magnetite Black C63...
Picked up a lot more equipment, and am totally satisfied.
Only problem is not falling into the habit of driving my new car in the same way that I drove my last one...break-in period is such a pain!
Anyways, enjoy...
In love all over again.

thanks everyone!
hear ya loud and clear on the black getting dirty thing...picks up any dust whatsoever.
the only good thing going for me in that realm is that this paint has so much metallic in it that some of the dirt gets lost in the sparkle.
time to buy stock in a car wax company.

Nice car... black looks so nice when clean! May I ask why you sold your fairly new 2012 silver car for this black one?

no particular reason to be honest....someone was interested in it, the deal was good for both of us, and I picked up equipment that I didn't have on my old car. Namely, leather, LSD, CF trim and illuminated door sills.

Thanks!
Absolutely...
That would have been a non-starter - what's amazing is that in my search for this car, there were so many out there that didn't have it.
Can't understand why dealers build these things without it. I'm talking $80,000 MSRP's without lighting - totally counterintuitive.

I wish we had some car culture here (or any culture for that matter)
VERY cool video - out of curiosity, what program did you use to make that? Really interested to learn how to do that.

Do some research on CQuartz which is a nano sealant. Slap some on and dirt sticks WAY less. I can drive the car in rain and when I get home it's clean. It is a fussy product to use and will take some time but the results are well worth it and it lasts >1 year. Had it on my black M3 and it was a miracle product. Planning a 3 day weekend detail in May on the C63 and will apply it then to the C after a clay and polish.

Nice new car and you have it looking great. The CF5s look very nice in the gunmetal on Magnetite black.
For cleaning the dealer here turned me on to Permanon. I have never used it but think I will when I clean up my car and get it out for the summer. It is a nano protection product as well like that mentioned by gthal. The Permanon is very easy to use and why the dealer uses it to save shop time.

Beautiful car. At the end of the day, a car with great lines looks best in black IMHO.
I had a choice between black and Palladium Silver. I went with Palladium, recalling how difficult it was to keep my black Lexus clean. Boy was I wrong in thinking PS would be better.
I love the black and I completely understand why you switched out. Bigger grin factor and getting EVERYTHING you want is important.

The magnetite is a great color, looks more dark grey in daytime and the metallic really comes out in sunlight and at night it gets even darker and sparkles when lights passes through. And it's true dust gets hidden and the quality of the paint is top notch.
