C63 Black Series still available? in the US

C63 Black Series still available? in the US
So I just got off the phone with my local dealer and he has informed me that there are about 17 that are waiting to be built or underway that have not been clammed. He said he wont be able to get me one cause he will have to give up something for the other dealer. Now my question is if the car dose not have an owner yet cant mercedes have the car sent to a different dealer from the factory? or no and then should I just go with a CLS 63 as a daily driver. Is there a way I can find out which dealers still have there C63 Blacks available for purchase?

Yes they are very different cars, but I'm not sure I totally agree with you there. The one thing MB has said about the BS cars is that first and foremost they have to have everything you would expect from a Benz. So while the CLS63 is not going to lap a road course as well as a C BS, and the C BS will not appeal to most people as a daily driver...it will still do it. So really both cars can serve the same purpose...it's just that the BS is going to be a harsher ride than than the CLS. My CLK BS can easily be driven daily but I don't do it. Same could be said for the C BS but of course the CLS63 is going to be a daily driver. Just comes down to personal preference. Do you want more of a sports car daily driver (C BS) or do you want a luxury cruiser with 4 doors that will smoke just about anything in a straight line ? They are very different cars but they both do just about everything very well - as a MB should.

While you and I can tolerate the CBS as a daily driver, 95% couldn't, and would not consider it daily drivable, hence my comments. I've converted my boss to AMG's, and he absolutely hated both my BS's. Really tho, you can argue that a Carrera GT is daily drivable. 
It takes a very specific car guy to be able to daily drive the CLKBS or CBS.

The cross shopping is happening because they are priced the same
The CLS is an awesome daily driver and tuned CLS' are puttin down over 600hp to the wheels and in the 10's
Tuned CLS would walk on the Black in every street situation.

BTW, are you planning to dyno your CBS? I think Mercedes is a bit conservative with its horsepower and torque ratings for our cars.

A CLS will be far too tame for you, unless you really need a useable back seat and 4 doors.
I'm sure a 2nd set of wheels w/comfortable tires and a quick coil-over adjustment would allow you to quickly switch between street and track modes.
The BS puts you in a very exclusive club far beyond CLS.
If you need more straight line performance, just a supercharger add enables you to eat Biturbo CLS for lunch.
I'd bet you might even be able to take one stock, from a standing start.
They are a liter down in displacement and cant rev, you will always have the advantage once you go FI.
A CLS will be far too tame for you, unless you really need a useable back seat and 4 doors.

Thank you for all the help guys I think i will go with the CLS, I was more leaning towards the CLS since its a daily driver, but a friend of mine said he saw a black series at the dealer and I thought I should look in to it, turns out that the coupe was just a c63 with a limited edition black series body kit and interior trim, after I spoke to the dealer I was a little more curious and the idea of the black series did seem very appeling... Thank you all for your imputs

Or were you just mistaken looking at the window sticker? Because the Black Series is ordered and window sticker'd like a C63 with the BSP package...

I agree with your statement: The Black Series puts you in a very exclusive club far beyond the CLS. I owned a CLS63 AMG for about 8-months before the C63 BS. The CLS63 AMG is a very fast car but feels like a very big car. The C63 BS is nothing like it - it feels more responsive, wider, lower - just overall more sporty.
Not sure why the CLS should even be compared to BS...
I am daily driving my BS - I have a smile every time. But I don't drive far on a daily basis.

Yeah, C63BS and CLS63 are in totally different categories. I test drove an E63 and thought it felt a lot more "boat like" compared to my C63, so I can't imagine the CLS63 is nimble like a C63, let alone a C63BS. Though, "boat like" is relative, so I'd take an E63 or CLS63 Bi Turbo over many competing cars in a heartbeat. Just don't think a C63BS is competing with a CLS in anything but the price. Just the "Black Series" puts you in a pretty exclusive club.

Wow! No comparison. The 458 is my all-time favorite car that I have ever owned so far. I have driven the Virage, DB9, Rapide, Vanquish, etc. They are not even on the same planet as a 458.
