You were never "near" the speed limit, you were well over it AND the double yellow line numerous times. And there were plenty of times you were way over the line in turns you could not see thru. Those canyons are full of people doing the same thing, what if someone was coming down doing the same thing as you were going up ? Or pulling out of a blind driveway ? Or a bike crossing the road ? Or a motorcycle crossing the double yellow coming the opposite direction ? I'm all for having fun, but that was just idiotic. And posting it online with your plate in plain view for the Lost Hills Sheriffs dept to see is even more idiotic.

Without being in the car and having a first person perspective you have no idea what the sight lines were and look like a tool commenting on them. Not having any idea what the driver's skills or knowledge of the vehicle's handling limits or surrounding conditions are and calling them an idiot makes you a douchey troll. But a quick review of your post history reveals you are not too bright when it comes to posting things online that would be better left private...your transmission grenading thread where you talk about how you abused your car daily and then went in to try and get it covered under warranty but were D- nied only further proves your idiocy.
You can justify your actions any way you like...surrounding conditions, your exceptional car control skill, lack of proper view from chase/video car...fact is you are the only one who looks like a douche here and your lame canyon run proves it once again. Look I like to have some fun on the road just as much as the next guy. However I do it when there is no one around and go to great lengths to minimize risk. The roads in that video are HEAVILY used on the weekends when the weather is nice as you can see by the many bicyclists, motorcycles and other vehicles. There is little room for error - I know because I have driven them many times. I actually liked the video, I just think it was very foolish but what bothered me more is the OP's comments about not breaking the law. If you are going to do something like that, at least be man enough to own what you do and not dismiss the obvious infractions as if we are all fools and don't see it for ourselves. If you want to call that drinking the "hatorade" that's fine....just don't try to tell me no laws were broken; it insults my intelligence.

there was actually one hit at PCH and malibu canyon, ems, and po po were there

I also like the vid, but around here, there are dozens of deaths every year from cars colliding with motos. Almost all of them are because the drivers never saw the bike (failed to yield) or one of them blew a DY.

I'm just saying please be careful otherwise someone gets killed. It may not be you, but I wouldn't want blood on my hands even if it wasn't my fault.

Seriously? Relax bro. I'm super flattered that I'm important enough to you to research my thread history, but if you actually read the majority of either of the transmission threads you'd see that I didn't once complain about getting denied warranty service. An SA who shall remain nameless suggested I at least try it out before shelling out for a new gearbox. When it didn't happen I found an alternate solution and paid without protest. Idiocy? Not so much. Grandiosity and bravado? Yeah, probably a little more than necessary of both. Live and learn.

(Side note: You should meet LZH, I bet the two of you would get along famously. In fact, you almost sound like the same person...)

That being said, sorry I called you a jackass. I'm not a fan of the whole childish name calling thing, but unfortunately I'm also not that good at self restraint in the face of unprovoked and abusive personal attacks. It sucks that I demeaned myself by dropping to your level of dialog and wish I hadn't.

Now that that silliness is out of the way, it was good to see all you guys today, and thanks for the feedback and support. The mods really came out nice and the car is an absolute monster now. I've got to give the Weistec boys props again for a kit that bananas that doesn't throw any codes or CELs and purrs when it's supposed to and roars when it's needed. Nice.
