Just took delivery of my matte black Edition1 C63 Coupe!
This past Friday I took delivery of a 2012 Matte Black Edition1 C63 Coupe. I picked up the car from Mercedes of Southampton, NY. Great group of guys there. Friendly staff, courteous, honest and very accommodating. Alan Weiss was my salesman, definitely would recommend him (if any of you others are in the market)! They even gave me a little tutorial on how to maintain the matte paint. I am coming out of a 2011 BMW M3 Convertible. I have only driven the car about 60 miles but it really is amazing. The sound is intoxicating, killer acceleration and just an all around great package. Super firm suspension, tight steering, and some fun little options and amenities. All in all I love this car. I was a huge BMW guy having owned six M cars but I think I like it here on the dark side!

Make sure you use Dr. Beasleys to wash and protect that finish - regular stuff will make it shine, also the swissvax product adds a little bit if a shine as well because it fills in the clearcoat, you want to prob stay away from that.

Good to know, I've been using the Swissvax Opaque car wash but haven't used the wax yet. It is worth noting though that the Magno paint on the Edition 1 is a satin finish so it does have a slight sheen.

Beautiful car... love the matte black on black wheels! I agree on the yellow NY plate, what a bummer... Can you order another color plate?
