MSRP=72,500. I have no idea what to offer but l think starting at 50K is a fair start? Please let me know as you guys seem to know your prices. Thank you for the help up front

not sure but 50k is a bit low considering alot of used 10s are around 50k....

I'd try 60? but then at that price you could try for a '12 too. I think the 12 is much improved. better tranny, better interior.

50K would just insult them. I would just check it out, let 'em know you're interested, then walk away. Maybe go back later, get them to make you an offer. IDK if there is any incentive money, if not, you won't get the great deals that were to be had a few years back.

I just spoke to the manager who I bought my ML from a few years back and he's saying 56K so i dont think 50K is an insult at all.

Let's face it, that date of manufacture is probably somewhere early in 2010 so this thing is pushing over 2 years old.

Then you factor in the summer being a few months away and the 2013's start rolling out.

I don't even know if 50 is worth it to be honest with ya...

I would take it at 50, but would be leery of it sitting for that long...

50 is fair as you point out. I would have to have a new battery installed obviously at their expense. Doesn't MB have a pre-paid maintenance package they off as well? Not that I would pay but I would have to get them to throw that in so I pay for nothing but tires up til the 50K warranty is over.

Then i have to make sure the 4 years/50K is from the purchase or in-service date as well.

Any other thoughts on what to look out for or negotiate as well?

THANKS for your help!!

The manager is already dropping it to 56K just over the phone so 50K should be easy enough. They want that boat anchor off the lot!

And there are over 100 but less than 200 miles on it.

if they are offering 56k then 50 should be possible. damn thats a better deal than a used one. I swear used ones are going around that price.

is this a beige colored one by any chance. I think i know of a beige 2011 one that is sitting on the lot. just wondering, you dont have to disclose the dealer if you dont want.

50K as a "fair start"?! Ridiculous if you ask me but this seems more like a validation thread for a lowball offer than asking for our opinions.

my wife bananas! :D
Definitely try for 50k .. imo it's a really really low offer but who knows what would happen.

Also, what we dont know is what kind of upgrades is on the car. not familiar with the states options but what is usually included in a 72k msrp c63?

seems like the states are so much cheaper to buy a c63 lol... low 50k for a 2010 would be a great price here in canada

Considering 2011 MSRP was 58k, a 14k difference to 72k should probably be close to fully loaded, if not 100% fully loaded. Or maybe dealership just loves markups?

It is fully loaded, they have the clear picture of the window sticker on the website. No add-ons or bullsh** or anything.

I know you guys are very passionate about the C63, but I look at this as a business transaction myself. The dealer has aging inventory that he needs to move.

The phone price, which is legit by the manager who i have dealt with before, is 56K, then I think walking in there and laying 50K is a VERY reasonable offer plus he has to cover the pre-paid maintenance for the entire 4yr/50K.

What other issues besides the battery should I look out for would you guys say? And I'm not talking about them trying to sell me all the crap when you go see that one guy who tries to sell ya everything from window etching to gap insurance. I politely tell them that it is a waste of both of our times for me to sit in the office as the only answer out of my mouth is no.

Please let me know your thoughts. THANKS

Honestly, I think 50K is going to be too low. Although it's a leftover, 56K sounds like a very good deal for that car. Imo your salesman threw a number out there to try and sell it quickly. You may be able to negotiate another 1-2K off but 6K may be pushing it.

....but you'll never know unless you ask.

What NJ dealership?

$56K is a steal for a brand new C63...anything below that would be highway robbery of the best kind! I wish they had deals like this laying around when I purchased my 09 last year.

Like you said worst they can say is no on the 50K and we go from there. Remember, above all else, its is one SERIOUSLY depreciating asset.

I would ask the seller to speak to their shop foreman and service manager about the head bolt issue and corresponding TSB. Ask them to look up the engine ID number and see whether your engine has the new head bolts. If it has the old head bolts, perhaps that can help you leverage a lower price.

Why don't you make the $50k offer and tell us what happens? Everything else is just conjecture!

$56k is a deal but remember this a pre-facelift car. Facelift came in '12....

Which makes a $50k more reasonable and easier to fight for.
