are these always brought up to date by dealers during service? specifically, I am wondering if a stock MY2009 would still be running that same stock ECU software or would the dealer have flashed updates when released during normal A,B,A service intervals?

Can you help me to do this:
- Back Up my current tune, from another vendor (which was recently dynoed less than the stock tune).
- Provide the latest stock tune.
- Load both of above on the programmer, so I can flash between them.
Since I am trying to work with this other tuner I don't need software (yet).
Would I just need to buy a programmer?
Also, if I could get that vendor to send me my stock file (that he downloaded), could you load that file on the tuner?

My bigger problem is the "less then stock tune" There are many vendors out there now and we all have pretty simular stellar results.
The issue you will have is how is the new tuner going to apply the software? Then you would need to send it in again to get backed up to a writable handheld file? Quite a hassle!
Stock files are stock files. We can build you a new one with your car data.

2009 ML63 AMG, 2013 BMW 535i
1. This tune is only available for C63 vehicles or other 63 engines also? I have 2009 ML63 and would like to know if the tune is compatible with my vehicle?
2. Are there any dyno results to show how much difference the tune would make for 2009 ML63 (hp, torque, 0-62, quarter mile, etc)?
3. I have the AMG Driver's Package which removes the speed limiter and mine can do 320km/h. Flashing the tune would bring back the limiter or not?
4. As previously posted, I already have a OBD2 adaptor which supports all protocols and works perfect with MB Star and want to know why it cannot be used to ID or flash the ECU like the Eurocharged OBD2

ML63 is not a problem and we don't have any track results as not many people track the ML!
It won't touch your speed limiter as we remove that with the tune as well
Your device cannot WRITE to the ecu, and we are not going to take a chance with a $2000 ecu on unproven hardware, im sure you understand. Our handheld has a lot of logic built in to write to the car, as well as troubleshooting logic to recover if there is an issue writing.

I had one for my last car and it was easy as pie to play around with. It had valet & immobilizer modes and could datalog as well spitting out logged files in excel spreadsheets.
