For those of you who haven't visited Tokyo or the Kanto region. It seems your lifetime opportunity is over already unless you want some cesium in your system. Soil sample from many Tokyo region have level of contamination that would considered nuclear waste in the US. It's really unfortunate that all that has happened to a country where many people are obsessed with health. The unfortunately thing is, the populace is kept in the dark and all go about as if the worst is over. In fact, Fukushima's condition is as bad as the day when the meltdown occur. It's a ticking time bomb.
I'm not even going to visit Japan in the near future. As you know more and more about the society in depth, you will find everything in Japan is all superficial and all about appearance. It's really not a pleasant place to live. There is a certain kind of stress and control in the air--really hard to explain. Of course, that doesn't apply to everyone there. If you have a close group of people there you can get along with, the best is to just stick with them.

I haven't purchased my own car yet. I've been using a friends van. I believe its a Toyota delica. I'm in Okinawa. Mostly farmers around here, so not too many nice cars, unless you're close to Naha. That's where I've seen new Porsches and Benz's. I'm just going to buy a beater to get around for the next two years I have to work here.

I'll be visiting my friend Hiro in Japan, for the first time this June. Could it be the same guy? he's also a car enthusiast. However, I understand Hiro is like Jim or Bob in Japan... I can't wait to check out all the modded cars. My friend Hiro just sent me pics of an new M5 in his garage and a carbon fiber 170 hp Prius. I heard going out to eat and do things are insanely expensive.
The cost of living in Japan is insanely expensive, that's why last time I went I bought an all inclusive tour.

It was actually not that bad until around early 2008 when it gradually dropped from 125 to 79 yen to a dollar. USD has pretty much lost 33% of its former value in Japan. Of course, Japanese Yen is actually tethered on a thread itself.

Thanks rufferto! Your C63 BS looks absolutely stunning. Too bad you were parked in the side parking lot, but I still managed to find it and take lots of pictures

I don't remember seeing a steel gray. Maybe you are talking about the magnetite black one parked a couple of rows behind where I was.
I only got a chance to say hi to Point2Point. Maybe we should hav all AMGs gather somewhere near C&C (say the Target parking lot) next time and then head over there together. That way we won't be scattered all over the place.

There's plenty of cool people on this site, yourself included, now that you drive a C63.
This is an online forum, where everyone is free to communicate and express their opinions on various related topics. Keeping that in mind, you have to grow a little thicker skin. It's real easy for typed conversation to be misinterpreted. Are we busting your ***** and being sarcastic towards a thread you posted? ABSOLUTELY! Lighten up. We do this to each other all the time. It's not to be taken personal. Think of it as our way of saying, welcome to the team. ![Big Grin](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
