You would either have to find someone to get it for you, or sign up on epc.startekinfo.com and pay for the world car service. it's $12 US.

Interestingly, your VIN shows as invalid. Usually, non-US cars show up but won't allow Datacard access.

On vin decoder.net it says my vehicle is assigned to Europe, so I think I will buy the EU access to EPC and see what I get!

I can't use the USA one as I don't have a US credit card

Hello all,

New here. I would greatly appreciate any help on decode of VIN 10704412021539, a 1974 450 SL.

Interestingly, the plate on the radiator support has 107044 12 03157 7 and is different from the VIN. I have managed to decode most of the three number codes on this plate. What is the significance of the number on the first line?

4706106 7B

The color line is 917G 917G 6. Aquablau/aquablau body and hardtop. What is the "6".

Just starting to learn.

Hello,

I am in Taiwan at the moment and the StarTek won't load here. Even if it did I doubt I could get info. The VIN you provided is not 17 digits which has been the standard for many years.

I will try again when I return to US on Thursday.

I understand this has been a problem at times with earlier VINs, even when prefixed by letters to give a 17 digit alphanumeric.

Tried again, it sees the VIN as valid so that I could look up parts, but no Datacard data available.
