Modded 2010 Harley Edition F-450 and a '13 S5
I say give me a C63 with the same power out put as this little hot hatch and it will be the last car I'll ever buy. Hmmm 1150hp sure sounds fun.

As much as I like to see a zoom zoom version of every model MB makes, I think that there are some models that should go without an AMG version.
However, as I was writing this, I was thinking to myself... I hope MB doesnt make a B class AMG... well here you go fellas

If they made a B45, I'm there. The B200 Turbo isn't slow, but it could use another 150hp. Handling feels like crap, so if AMG can work it's magic and stiffen it up, it'd be an awesome winter car and shopping/hauling crap car for me. My complaint is the interior... it feels unrefined, like 10 year old entry level MB interior. The new B fixes that. It's on par with a base C class.
Ya, when I talked to some of the AMG guys at the roadshow, they explained that's how we ended up getting 30 CBS's, while US only got 70. It was a reward for the high per capita demand for AMGs here.

One thing that worries me is the announcement that this car's engine will be the first AMG engine not built at Affalterbach. AMG states the one-man, one engine principal will be adhered to. However, I wonder if that's the way things will go in the future, with AMG engines eventually being built all over the place. How do they split the group of master engine builders to be sent to build this car's engine?

Just before buying our C63, we sold our Focus RS Turbo. It had a 5 cyl 2.5L Turbo engine ...305HP, but also 440NM..FROM 1500RPM....AN ABSOLUTE WEAPON.
I will be interested to compare the drive of the A45 with this car.....I'm sure, that being AWD, the AMG will be superior, but let me tell you, the Focus was a very fast little car.
Cheers, Pickles.

Though the A45′s engine will be built in a different plant, it will have its own assembly line and maintain AMG’s “one man, one engine” philosophy, with the builder’s signature on the engine’s badge.

My mistake I misunderstood you, but I think it will be just fine.

Still looks like a riding mower engine.

Love it! I nearly got a five-door Audi A3 in 2006 so this car is right up my alley and done even better from what I see. As for diluting the AMG brand - I don't see that. Purists may groan but the world is going the way of smaller-displacement motors. Just as long as MB maintains overall build quality and in particular doesn't cheapen the interior.
