I dont have P31 but I am thinking about painting my calipers red. I think it would look great on my black car.

just wanted some opinions from other C63ers about it. would it be too poser? since I dont have a P31? I mean I am going to get a EC tune anyways so I should be as fast if not faster than a P31.

also if i decide to do it, where can i get the AMG stickers for my calipers?

I have seen this done before and it looks horrendous! The standard callipers would get more appreciation from true petrol heads, over re-sprayed ones.
Chances are they will also start flaking unless you ask a brake company to properly do it, but then is it really worth it?!? might be worth waiting a little longer, saving up for new uprated brakes...
this is just my opinion. but if you really want it done, i would pay the extra and take it to a specialist.

I've considered this too...while I don't see the general population
claiming poser-ness.......there are those here that label you a poser......red cal's would look really good on a black car......

yeah if i do it i plan on getting it done professionally (powder coated, as I believe the OEMs are). havent looked into the pricing yet, if its not reasonable then I would probably not do it.

I've often wondered the same as the OP.

I would love to see a black C63 with black multi-spoke wheels with the red pinstripe on the lip and red calipers. In my head I am picturing it looking really cool.

Otherwise I have seen orange and yellow look pretty good on black.

yup. dont know about the red pin stripe but black multispokes and red calipers on a black car would be perfect.

I have thought about orange and yellow too but I think thats too flashy and aftermarket looking.

Yellow would look wicked! I might get mine yellow in the future when Im bored of red. My brother is test driving a CTS-V coupe black w/ yellow calipers and it looks awsome!

Agreed. Many people paint their calipers. I don't think it's the same as slapping amg badges on a non-amg Benz. I think green or yellow would look pretty dope.

And I think it looks great. I would love to do it on my car but there are no professional shops in my area that are trustworthy...

it's fine, but i'd pick a different colour from red. Lots of colours looks nicer than Red on a black car imo.

Blue and Yellow come to mind immediately.

I personally dont think you will be a poser. utlimately it is just a colour, a poser for me is like the dude I saw the other day that was trying to impress the ladies with his one of a kind SLK350 AMG... complete with nothing but the badge....

Red is just the colour that MB picked for its P31 calipers but by no means you can't go for that if its the look you are going for.

P31 cars don't have the rights to the red calipers. Red, orange, yellow, any would look nice.

Been considering orange or lime green (the same green Porsche used on their 918 Spyder Edition 911 Turbo S's -- I suspect it's called Acid Green to be precise).

You got a black car... Do black calipers! I think they look the best out of all the colors anyways.

Do whatever color you want, man. My car is already red so if I got red calipers, that would be too much. Mine are silver now but I've been thinking of getting them painted. You have plenty of more choices than I do, so tinker around with Photoshop and make your decision then.
