New Look for My C63
I am getting really bored with the blackout look of my car and I am thinking of changing it up a bit. What do you guys think?
Getting rid of black wheels, dark tint and black accents and wrapping the car in a light satin silver vinyl.
I would also get 19"/20" 3-piece step-lip wheels instead of my OEM AMG 18".
(I would keep the Multispokes as a winter setup)
This silver C63 was a sedan but I photoshopped it into an estate
I am in love with the 20" HRE C93 but they are too expensive for me...

I like it ... why not do a matte grey ... that could be cool too ... with some sort of colored wheels or just the silver/chrome would look good
similar to this:
Or go blue LOL

I don't know why but I'm crazy about the silver.
Matte black and matte grey are played out.
Does anyone know if I can fit a 10Jx19" ET45 wheel with a 255/30/19 tire in the back?

I say bail on the blackout - not really into the look unless it's on a very sleek, slim 2dr (vette, gtr) and even then, I prefer some contrast. For a wagon and most other cars, honestly, this is just my 2 cents of constructive criticism, it looks cheesy.
I like the look of the wagon above, but I would choose wheels that have a bit more space in between the spokes. P40SC's maybe.

yes to the wrap, no to the chopped wheels for me. The spokes are too thick for my tastes. though Chrome rims would look good with a satin silver wrap
as for offet, i'm running 19x10 +53 on a 265/30/19 Michelin PSS and looks like i have some space to push it out more. +45 is very aggressive and if you can test fit first that would be ideal.
My friend recently painted his car matte silver with a set of brushed rotiforms, and it matches really well.

Thanks for the input guys.
I loved the black scheme on my car but I got over it.
P40s are almost as common on a C63 as Forgestar F14s so no thanks.
I will definitely look for either a mesh or multispoke polished wheel.
Chrome wheels are the last thing I would ever put on my car.
I am looking for polished wheels.
I thought about the Rotiforms but fake-Roti's are too popular in Poland at the moment

heh, by chrome i was thinking polished. I didn't think you'd actually buy chrome dipped wheels
whatever you decide to do, i'm sure it'll look hot

Dont change a thing Matt... your car looks great as is.
But if you do want a new set of wheels... the C93 only looks good in 20's as the 19's with step lip makes the center looks very small. On the other hand, we all know our cars are not 20's friendly as the sidewalls will be too thin.
My vote would be 19's 1 pc monoblock or 19's 3 pcs reverse lip.

noodleman, is your friend from Ottawa? I see the sticker on his quarter window... but never seen him driving around. Clean looking car!

That's what I thought about the step lip but 20's might be an option too.
I'll think about it. For now I am trying to sell my 18" OEM wheels.
I don't want any monoblock wheels at the moment.
Overall the car needs a more classy look.
Black on black is played out.

your car looks amazing as it is, one of the best on the entire world. But I can imagine you getting fed up with the look. silver would look mean on black wheels with a chrome lip.

I feel ur need for a 3pcs wheel staggered look. I'm thinking of putting back my SV1 set for a change. Whatever wheels u choose, stay away from chrome lips/barrels.. U will thank me later as they r more maintenance than polished lip.

Yes, 20's make our cars look great!! I almost pulled the trigger on going 20's for my HRE, but after hearing few members cracking/bending their 20's HRE I've decided to play it safe cuz monoblock forged cannot be repaired.. So at ~1300$ a pop, it's an expensive game. Lol

I am used to maintaining my car and once the car is wrapped I won't have to wax it any more so I'll have more time to take care of the new wheels
BTW I think 19" is the perfect size for a monoblock wheel on a C63.
20" is only acceptable IMO with a step or reversed lip.
So You made the right choice

nah, he's in toronto, the shop that he took it to get the paint job done was from ottawa, but relocated in toronto somewhere. I guess he just didn't want to change the name haha.

Noodleman, that explains it.. Lol
Matt, what I meant by 'high maintenance' is chrome lips don't seal well, they tend to leak at the seal or start peeling/chipping with daily use stress.

Why not wrap it with that clear matte wrap and give it a satin black look! Otherwise go as wild as possible! Maybe matte red and black everything else out (Should be pretty easy since most of it is lol)
