Help Please: TPMS Low Tire Warning

Hello Fellas,

Did a search but haven't came up with a answer to my exact issue.

For the past month maybe even longer I have been getting the Low Tire Pressure red screen message and then the little Error symbol stays on the dash... Many times I have checked the tire pressure and all the tires are the same.

Could of one of my TPMS have gone bad? Broken? How can I tell which one or figure out the issue rather then changing one at a time to figure which one it actually is.

BTW I have a 2009 C63

Thank You, Appreciate all help.

Have you tried to reset your TPMS to the PSI's that you currently have them set at?

What are you tire pressures when cold? Often when cold the pressure will be below and trip the sensor, I get this in the winter all the time. Try filling up your tires to 38-40 PSI all around. If I recall correctly for every 10F drop in air temp temp your PSI drops 1-2.

I have reset'd it many times to program the currecnt tire pressure and it comes back with the light bout 2m later.

The tire pressure currently is 32 psi all around. Weather really shouldn't matter since its hot and we are not in the winter time because I have experienced this in the winter with my previous car.

Setting your tires to 32 psi all around is just asking for trouble. You will be sorry you did that when those 35 profile rear tires smack a pothole. Set it at 38f 40r and see if it still comes on.

I have C63 09 too. I have had the same problems in the past, it just comes and goes. I have found no solution. But you definitely need to run 38 to 40 all around.

You absolutely right, I did not know that these cars use that much psi. I'm used to my 335 were I had 32 all around and all my previous cars so I had it set the same way here. I bumped it all up to 40 psi all around and sensor right away went away.

I set it to 40 all around and light disappeared first thing when I started the car.

Keep us updated if it goes away 100% this entire week. But I suspect it was your extremely low tire pressure.

Will do, I suspect the same. I was surprised though that it is that high.

I'll add this... I had the constant "Correct Tire Pressure" message and then recently the "Low Tire Pressure" warning with the light on the cluster in an '09 C63. I always had 38F 40R.

I had the dealer check it out and they told me the car was not programmed with a "low" tire threshold in the system. So they plugged in some values and then gave it back to me. It's only been 1/2 day since then, but so far the message has not returned. I'll update if it does recur.

I refuse to go to the dealer for any small reasons. I rather pay for it and get it done myself.

I have unmatched tires front to rear, but I have 40psi all around. I'm surprised you didn't have other issues with only 32psi. Some people even run 44psi+ on low profile tires.
