Warranty about to expire. Should I ask for anything?

^^^^^ This. I would call different dealers, they can sell you one over the phone as I understand it. I guessing that there is some control by MB so probably not alot of room.

To the dealer there is little room to move - the margin is remarkably slender for the MB extended warranty. I haven't heard of a recent sale (straight out, no vehicle/trade involved) under $4,800 for the +3/100k version.

The car i'm looking to get still has about 1 month of the factory warranty remaining. Would I be able to get the dealer to check those things out before the warranty ends? Thanks for the input!

definitely check around with different dealerships. one dealer here in LA told me that they could only sell me the third party warranty for like $4500. another dealer told me they could sell me the MB ELW. of course, i went with the MB ELW.
