Help with MCT Trans... I know some of you experienced this!!
This morning I was driving to work and about halfway into my drive I noticed no modes were lit up on my knob. The center display read C and went through the gears fine, however it was not lit up on the selection knob. I couldnt move it into any mode. I tried restarting the car a few times and the same problem. Do any of you kinow how to fix this?!?!?!

Started the car up and it lit up... Thank goodness. Hopefully it doesnt happen again. The dealer still has to replace my valve module when it arrives so maybe that will adress the issue. I will have it scanned then.

Do you switch from C S S+ to M mode while driving?
I know the manual says switching from C S S+ is ok while driving... But switching to M from C S S+ and vice versa while driving is not recommended.
I'm just wondering if this is a factor.

I described this problem in your other MCT thread. I wonder if you need to shut down the car completely (i.e. doors locked) for the computers to reset. It doesn't seem like turning off the engine and an immediate restart does anything.

I don't think this would matter... I do this daily and no issue. The tranny is electronically controlled and if it damaged the car (no different than overreving the engine) the car would not allow you to switch.
