ECU came out of an '09 C63 AMG !

like the title says , i have a 2nd ECU that i purchased in hopes of fixing a hesitation problem because we originally thought it was my ECU that had the issue . turned out that my ECU was just fine so i now have this second ECU that i do not need . i purchased the ECU from a forum member . the ECU is at Weistec right now and Weistec said that they could flash any tune you want but you would obviously have to send your ECU to them for the OEM files .

basically , you send your ECU to them and they flash the new computer with whatever tune you want . for those of you that are scared to get detected by the dealer , this might be the right way to go . you can have your stock ECU for service issues and have the spare for the plug and play weekend fun .

Isn't the ECU coded to one car's VIN ? So it only works with one car?

that's why Weistec would need your OEM ECU to get the stock files to vin code to the new ECU

i actually thought about that but i want to strictly be on pump gas . my car is making monster power on 91 and i would love to be able to go anywhere with it and fuel up wherever i want

especially after the headers switch, where 40rwhp was gained
